[A Revelation Of Sorts...]

Day 426, 16:35 Published in USA USA by Ian John Locke IV

Ok so most of you know me as a serious guy in-game. To be honest, though, I love having fun. I do most of my joking on the IRC. But as I was joking with Nathan_Woods and tdwester in #aap_party, I figured, why keep the joke between three friends, so here's the joke...

Tonight I was just bored and doing some random thinking. I looked at the AAP Party Page and for the first time actually took a second to think about our Far-Left economical orientation and our socially Libertarian view point.

As described by my friend and co-worker in the DoE, Ashmot, a Far-Left economical point of view is described as such:
more economic interventionism; workers' self-management; Equality of outcome; progressivism; secular government; law dictates culture; human nature and society are mostly malleable.

While the social Libertarian's point of view is:
Libertarianism is a term used by a spectrum of political philosophies which seek to promote individual liberty and seek to minimize or even abolish the state.

Now if you take these two definitions loosely, you would see that clearly they clash. How could a person believe that a shrunken government should or could intervene actively in the economy?

So now I'm confused as to why I ran for Party President of a group of people who can't decide how they want their government. I'm even confused as to why I'm even here because clearly I'm as befuddled as everyone else!

Disclaimer
To all you serious people out there, this was meant as a joke.
I love the AAP, the USA, and all of the members of both, yes even WilliamC.
