What Ive Done

Day 624, 11:55 Published in Ireland Ireland by Conor Forde

No im not going to start singing Linkin Park songs. Instead it's accountability time! Since I'm in congress i may aswell tell my constituents what I've done (and tried to do) so far.

I started United Kingdom. I was a bit concerned that it would affect our neutrality and make us look like we were taking PEACE's side but i was eventually purswaded to vote yes on the matter.

The following vote for congress was the Impeachment of Starks Hayter. Quite simply we had not got one article from our so called presidente in 13 days so i decided to vote yes. Also he simply did not want the job so we ended up giving him what he wanted.

I opposed the proposition to change the import tax on Iron from 10% to 7%, mainly for the reason that it would have given a miniscule advantage to the very few workers who work in that sector.

Soon after came the propositions to change the Income tax on Products. On this occasion I objected to the changes, as i still feel we should be trying to raise money for improving our countries infrastructure (Better Hospitals, higher quality IDF weapons, state housing etc.) but the law was passed in the end.

*Queue the many people who disagree*

Since the reasons for signing peace treaties with other nations was addressed before on the UK issue I voted yes once again to the peace treaty with Canada

Voted yes on the moving of money from the state finances to Banc Ceannais (State Companies)

Now the matter of Bryan O'Shea's goodbye gift of raising the donation of 1000 IEP to his personal company. While i laughed a little when i saw what he was proposing, as he was leaving for IRL issues and other reasons, I still voted no on the matter. Just decided not to risk it.

Also i have raised the matter of getting a Q5 hospital for the region of "The Shannon" but i got mixed reactions for its go ahead so until certain issues are dealt with and public opinion changes the idea appears to be at a standstill for now

Now i know this has not happened yet but i also support the possible future joining of eIreland into the Sol Alliance. If we join it could see the start up of wargames once again before the World War ends. My only concern is if we do join who will we be involved in wargames with, as currently all of the members are asian nations which arent exactly on our border.
