Greetings My Fellow Americans,

I must say my second active term in Congress is already much more exciting than last term. As most of you are already aware, the eUS has been asked to join EDEN. Just hours into the new term, President Josh Frost laid in front of Congress the vote on whether or not we should join.

I have always been a fan of EDEN, they stood beside us in our darkest days this summer and we owe them much for this. That being said, I always assumed we would remain on the outside looking in. We had a good system working, a system in which we were clearly allied with EDEN but not a member, thus allowing us some leeway in dealing with other nations around the world. A system that allowed us the benefits of working with EDEN while having the close, loving embrace of the Brolliance. In the words of Ferris Bueller, "it was so choice."

Sadly, that system could not last. Thus with some reservations but with optimism I voted Yes on joining the EDEN alliance. By joining we can help to shape policy and have a part in the discussion of what EDEN does, instead of just watching from the sidelines. We will be vigilant watchdogs, if it becomes clear we have entered into a rotten deal, I and many of my colleagues will rise in opposition and make our concerns clear to the administration.
