General Workers' Union
So, V2's up and running. So I thought it would be good to get some form of worker representation going alongside that.
This is the result.
The General Workers' Union is here to solve your problems, answer your questions, and help you get the most out of your working life in Singapore. It's completely flexible, so if you have a problem that we haven't thought of, then I'll do my best to sort it for you.
In these first days of V2 things are gonna be a bit chaotic with work, and so I've decided that it would be best to operate like a consultancy in these first few Weeks- we'll be operating without a constitution or an operating procedure and will be a bit ad hoc. Once the first, probably busy, period is over, however, we'll soon sort out a proper structure and all that.
I'll tell you a bit about myself.
In-game I'm called Parrington, and I'm one of the most experienced trade unionists in the eWorld, with a long history of standing up for workers' rights. I believe that V2 gives us the ideal opportunity to set up a good and solid system for backing up the workers.
I want everyone to have good treatment in work, not just hard workers and experienced players. I'm standing up for everyone.
Over the next week I'll be seeking government backing for this scheme. Until then...
IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, CONTACT THE GWU, AND WE WILL SORT IT, AMICABLY (usually) and EASILY!

i not very sure that is legal in the game....
cos if i remember correctly, there is something like companies cannot be in somesort of a union to control the price or something(All food companies come and discuss the price and sell all the same price)
So i not every sure that applies to citizens also or not or that laws have been removed
No offence, but that's utter rubbish 😉 Unions have been present in the past, and there is absolutely no problem with the laws of the game.
Parringtin "I LOVE YOU"
I love you too! Would you mind telling me who you are, and what your interest is in the union. Feel free to get involved and support us.
"solve your problems, answer your questions, and help you get the most out of your working life in Singapore"
Singapore has a government department called the Community Department to do that. I had intended to have it up and running by now, but I've been bogged down by economic concerns for the last couple of days. It's also funny you should mention that as you accepted a position as part of the Community team, but seem to be setting up an agency outside of the government to do the same thing. No point in duplicating things.
Anyway, eRepublik is fairly simple in terms of employer-employee rights.
Employers should have the right to have their workers working at full productivity and make a fair profit off their employees. They have the responsibility to ensure there is money to pay wages, and they get their raw materials as cheaply as possible.
Employees have the responsibility to work at full productivity and receive a fair wage.
So what exactly is your scheme, and how would it be implemented?
Article coming later today will tell alll that!

PUT UP JOBSS!!!!!
A workers union will prove to be worthless until such a time as the admins stop screwing with the formula's every few hours and changing raw materials/production values on a whim.
