I proposed this idea to Metallon long ago but we lacked the funding so it has been put on hold. There has been talk of similar ideas on the newer Austrian forum so I thought I might write an article about it and get a sense of the public's sentiments.

What is more important than the ATS you have is the gold it is worth. Unfortunately, you'll find that most of the ATS you spend in the marketplace ends up in the hands of foreign company owners. Those company owners exchange that ATS for gold and then that gold is gone from our nation forever. We need a way to move gold back into Austria. My solution to this is a government-operated company that sells exclusively to foreign nations. The company would use Austrian workers but the proceeds would be acquired from foreigners, used for the benefit of Austria. This gold would go to war-games, and, possibly, the reclamation of Lower Austria.

Before, I advocated low import taxes because food was scarce in Austria and it's more important that we eat than to avoid losing gold. Now I think we may be steady enough to raise the import taxes and give Austrian businesses a chance.

I agree, i think the government should create 2 nationalized companies a food one and a grain one. Get austrian workers in these 2 companies, raise import tax on food/grain so that we have an all austrian food/grain markey. Then as we get bigger do the same to the other industries till we are completely self-sufficient and are running all the industries. Then we can export surplus to make us rich yay!

I had too this idea. And because eAustria is such a small country, it's also a viable one.

Finally someone who knows some economic things. Good job and hope to see the new tax as soon as possible.
But I propose something else too : lower the income tax and rise the VAT tax. This will help workers to receive high salarys(lower income tax) and Austria is not going to lose money.(high VAT will take money from products that are sell).

I'm wondering what the plan for retaking Lower Austria is. It was mentioned in the past that if we had at least 40 active voters in the election we would ask our Allies to return Lower Austria to us. Is this the plan still and what's the timeline?
