The reason why yesterday's situation came about

What happened yesterday should never happen again.
So, why did this situation come about?
Let's see.
The President wanted to support Spain yesterday. The CJCS wanted to support France.
We have to realize that we cannot support the interests of both countries that have an arch-rival relationship, such as France and Spain. We cannot have disagreements between our leadership as to which country is really our ally.
Thus, the whole problem boils down to USA not having a clear alliance in this ongoing world war.
The President and the CJCS saw different countries as US allies.
This is the real crux of the problem.
We dont have a clear peice of paper that states who our allies are.
The members of Congress who voted on USA leaving EDEN took away that one piece of paper that clearly outlined our international obligations.
No wonder that the army leadership got confused.
In their view, they need to run the foreign policy since the other 2 branches of govt havent provided them with a law that clearly states our international obligations and in plain English names our allies.

This situation really exposes a weakness in the eUSA constitution. Irrespective of who was right and who was wrong, you can only have one person in charge and if you are going to make that person accountable to the people, that person has to be the President. End of story.
Agree with SS above, entirely.
FFS, choose country which was attacking you and help in conquest of your territories, or choose a country which sacrifised itself JUST and ONLY to give YOU a moment of break in that invasion.
To make it clear, as most of Americans forgot:
Spain got erased from the map ONLY to help you.
France conquered your territories.
France erased Spain from the map.
Why?
Because Spain chose to help you!

Wait,you got something wrong.Ex-CJCS NXNW didn't support France or any Phoenox country.President HR signed the treaty of Lyon,saying that we will not support any attemptd to defend Spanish held French territories.
This treaty got signed within the perios of president HR.Now President HR can't just break his own treaty,imagine what troling would be done in our Media.
If President HR wants to support Spain,then he should re-think things twice.This was a great mistake doen by president HR and ex-CJCS NXNW made just the right decision.

so lemme get this straight> he signed a treaty ACCEPTING not to help nation A when attacked by nation B on nation B's ORIGINAL(very important, this fact) territories? right? did i get it correctly?
