As Party President of the TFC Party I am proud to announce the formation of the TFC Militia. This non-Governmental Organisation will be privately funded by myself in order to help take the strain off the MoD in these troubling times after our Treasury funds were stolen.
The TFC Militia will be suplying free Q1 Weapons to members in order to help increase rank of citizens to enable them to defend our great nation more effectively.
If you are a patriot and want to help the TFC Party help you to help eJapan then please get in touch via the forum here: http://nipponblog.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1144&sid=8451fb0f6f3a9a80a676ee3371c84a3b">

Private militias are well and fine - it should be clearly stated however that any actions taken unilaterally (if any) by the militia is not endorsed by our country as it is clearly separate from the military. Even so, I am wary of politicians funding their own privatized army. I feel such things are detrimental to government cohesion. But what do I know? 😃
"Kevlin need another BAN 😛"
and yeah Go Reiji hehe
militia mascot should be the tequilla worm.
I think instead of calling it a militia, it would probably would have been best to call it a weapons distribution program. But the nomenclature isn't meant to be divisive, and the gesture is appreciated given the crisis.
Yeah, I already spoke to the MoD about the whys and wherefores.
It's just a way of the party promoting itself by helping members gain rank so they can contribute to the nations defence more and take some pressure off the MoD.
It'll probably bankrupt me but there's no glory in having a big pile of Gold; Gold was made for spending!
no1kevlin did mention it to me in a private message. Personally, I do not oppose private ranking programs--everyone should be striving to improve their fighting ability.
However, it is the Ministry of Defense's policy that it retains sole power to operate an armed force in eJapan. Of course, as many are sure to point out, there are already exceptions and there is no way to enforce this, as any private training program is privately funded. Any change in these policies would best be debated by the congress. Actions by non-governmental soldiery present a risk that they will be considered "official" government actors if they should begin operating on the international stage, but the program seems to be more accurately referred to as a weapons distribution program rather than an official military organization.
I definitely agree with you on the gold--sitting around on large piles of it do not do any good if there's no one else around to use it with. Good luck!
I raised the issue of a policy of not allowing any non-governmental armed forces being based in eJapan and the idea was comprehensively shot down by numerous high-profile members of both the community and the Government.
It's basically a way to strengthen eJapanese citizens in the TFC Party and not a private army i'm building to support my bid for Emperor of Kyushu! (honest!)
