Kilgore trout asked the court to interpret the new constitution, and advise of its practice, relating to the absence of term limits for judges. A decision has been rendered. Judges are not subject to term limits. They may resign or be removed for various reasons by majority vote of the judges acting collegially. The possibility that congress has the right to remove a judge for misconduct, inactivity or other good reason has also been raise, though not yet decided.

It is almost time for me to leave. Some good has been done and there are others who can carry on. I may now have life tenure on the bench, but I don’t want to spend my life here, am anxious to finish a few things and disappear. There will soon be two vacancies, therefore, and the executive should begin considering candidates to fill them. Failing unforeseen circumstances I will resign on April fool’s day, or such other day as may be convenient to the government. Transition is important.
We four judges have been here seven weeks now, working diligently. This is what has been done:
1. Reference re: Amendment of constitution – party president vote – sufficiency.
2. Csis v. Kyoto
3. Funding cap act prosecution
4. Rex v. Rolo
5. Pimp sentence appeal
6. Complaint against csis and marcchelala
7. Constitutionality of Attorney General Act
8. Reference re: Speaker selection
9. Wes lewis allegation of discrimination
10. Suggested amendments to the proposed charter of rights and freedoms
11. Criminal code “treason” offence found unenforceable.
12. Muglack ban
13. Reference re new constitution (interim order)
14. Reference re judicial term limits
15. Re dominik forum access (in progress)
16. Judicial reform - issuance of new practice direction.
17. Publication of many terse articles.

You have done an excellent job Oliver. You have revived the Court almost from the ashes, you have all my respect.
It's kind of sad that you are leaving the Office so soon thought. 🙁
I hoping you will be back in the Big Chair soon. 😁
Yes, Tem, it may be back to that soon enough. For now, I'd have to say plenty was learned during Oliver's brief return and even more groundwork was set as future templates for those that take up the task of making a 'fictional' document apply to the 'mechanics' of a social strategy game.
The rules and formulas of eRep are highly susceptible to almost seemingly random changes by the Admins, and we have no recourse to change that fact. It's a tyranny everyone complains about, ad nauseum. If we were ever presented with rules and 'formulas' for another system that we may not agree with, I learned that its better to find a way to address this injustice/need for change rather than just accept it (as eRep game developers have forced us to do).
I like to think of the Supreme Court as an attempt to do that, except not in the arena of 'game mechanics' and instead in the sphere of 'social mechanics.' The game, as many keep saying, is often broken and can't be changed, but we don't have to assume the society has to be treated the same way.
You know what? Oliver has earned my respect. There's many things I think the court needs to change, but considering completely unresponsive and unaccountable forum admins, he's done a good job.
"Number 12 on the charts, number 1 in our hearts!"
Dominik, I should update you. The forum admins have replied and I am preparing my response in turn. Somebody will be in contact with you in the next day, I expect.
Probably won't be done on time for me to vote in speaker elections, but I appreciate it. Too bad the forum admins get to dictate what the courts, congress and party presidents can and can't do.
