Relax Sweden! It's only an upgrade!

There is a surprising amount of distress over the new upgrades being done to erepublik that will be implemented in the next few weeks. There is a huge change in the system of economics that will be coming soon. Now Sweden is a nation that has prided itself on most efficient economics in the past, and they've done a good job. Some fear has been raised over the fact that Sweden might not have a lot.
Really the only reaction to that is a shrug of your shoulders and a "meh". It's not that I am reveling in your new found resource-poverty (cause I'm not). It's that there really is nothing you can do about it. The resource idea is a good one. It's been integrated into the current mechanics as efficiently as possible. And for what it is, I think it's pretty good. I mean if you think Sweden is bad, have you seen Denmark? Grain grain grain grain grain, wood, nothing (thanks a lot Sorø).
Adversity is not something that Sweden is used to in this game. Let's face it, the only hitherto existing resource has been man-power. Which Sweden has had no shortage of. This completes the LLC (or JAK in Danish and maybe Swedish), land labour and capital definitions of capital. Yes I know that it's odd to include capital in the definition of capital but they mean money or assets.
I don't think a horrid lack of resources will cripple Sweden. Surely you will be one of the heavily targeted markets for merchants. Or you can simply invade more nations and keep the regions you like for yourselves. Personally I'm hoping that if we don't gain independence in V1, then foreign allies will aid us with money and manpower. I don't truly expect to win, but I think being able to hurt Sweden would quicken the process of letting us go.
Actually looking at that graph in Jac Vobar's article Sweden comes out pretty alright. Except for Gøteborg. (Sweden's Sorø?) I would've finished his well written article except that long Swedish texts get more and more difficult the sleepier I get.
I just don't understand the upset over all this. Anyone care to explain?

Optimism ftw!
\'I mean if you think Sweden is bad, have you seen Denmark? Grain grain grain grain grain, wood, nothing (thanks a lot Sorø). \'
Actually, you got oil, not wood.
\'Except for Gøteborg. (Sweden\'s Sorø?)\'
Visby and Örebro is the regions that lack productivity.
Anyhow, I liked your article, and you have a point.
What the fuzz is about is that they gave us lots of grain and just one in iron and wood. Sweden is a heavy exporter of Iron and wood rl, and if admin wants to try to give it some feeling of basic rl then got to have atleast one 2 in wood or iron. And now they\'ve changed it, we got 2 in wood now.
Voted.
The fuzz is about the huge difference in production between 1 and 2, and the fact that in the original spreadsheet sweden wasn\'t given a single 2. Well, that\'s not entirely true, we did have a single 2 in grain, which was located in a former German region.
In contrast, countries like Brazil, Pakistan, Indonesia, Canada, Norway and USA were given each resource, the majority of them being 2.
I\'d prefer to see them scrap this whole RL concept and ensure that each original country lacks one or two resources, to ensure that they either need to expand or trade.
They have changed it now Per.
That Google document is updateable. I\'m sure the values will change several times before any of this is actually implemented.
Sweden should be happy, the Netherlands only got grain, nothing more 😑\'
I like that Denmark got oil. It\'s too bad that oil is so worthless here. :/ Oil should have this magical synergy effect that cuts prices in half and makes everyone rich.
Just like in Norway 😃
Except they still have high prices.
GTFO Grev Per ._.
You are proving my point on Swedes.
I would recent the above comment if I was actually a swede. But having a non-swede in both congress/riksdagen and regeringen kinda proves GP wrong.
