Perhaps I am a Cynic...
With an Optimistic bent.
I was looking o'er my shoulder,
No matter where I went...
Yet still I always hoped to see
A Saviour had been sent.

Well, waiting for another
To save me from myself
Will help me just about as much
As Buddha on a shelf.

I know I have to act myself,
In concert with all others
Who are aligned with purpose...
All the Children, Dads and Mothers
Who want to see a better world
Before the Chaos smothers...
