Pathetic and Crybabies: The Tragedy of a Stolen Medal
Leon Scott Kennedy.
In the vast and complex universe of eRepublik, where politics, economics, and warfare intertwine in a digital tapestry, sometimes a drama emerges worthy of a Greek tragedy. But this time, we're not talking about the fall of an empire or the betrayal of an ally. No, this is the story of a sensitive soul, wounded to the core by the loss of a medal in an air battle. Yes, that pathetic.
Recently, in a burst of bravery (or perhaps just curiosity), I decided to debut my air weapons in a random battle. The result was a SH (Sky Hero) medal added to my collection. So far, so good, right? But no, the tragedy was just beginning. Apparently, this medal, which I naively believed I earned with effort, had an owner. A gentleman, whose name I won't mention out of respect for the pathetic, decided that his honor had been sullied and his property usurped.

The reality is, I barely participate in air battles. My foray was sporadic, an exception rather than a rule.

But this noble and crying warrior decided that my occasional presence was a personal affront.

For a moment, I imagined a world where every player had to ask permission before winning a medal. "Excuse me, can I compete for this SH or does it already have an owner?"
It is fascinating how some individuals can transform a strategy and simulation game into an opera of complaints and laments. The word "pathetic" takes on a new meaning when a player, instead of improving their strategy or accepting defeat with dignity, decides to write a complaint message. And not only that, but they expect one to feel guilty for playing and winning.
To all the pathetic and crybabies: the next time you feel someone has stolen your medal, remember this is a game of competition and strategy. Medals are not private property, and every battle is an opportunity to demonstrate skill, not to claim a divine right. So, instead of wasting your energy on useless complaints, perhaps you should focus on improving your tactics and accept that sometimes, you just lose.
At the end of the day, the real problem is not the "stolen" medal, but some people's inability to accept the reality of a competitive game. So the next time you win a medal and someone calls you a "thief," just smile and remember: you are on the right path. And to the crybabies, I leave a virtual box of tissues and a piece of advice: grow up.

How about that, another individual who, like myself, is affronted by selfish and entitled entities alike! I speak from experience when I say, it doesn't get better!
They are hateful people, and I wouldn't be surprised if many of them are using bots.
HOW RUDE! They are all clearly individuals with idealistic dreams and desires!
Sorry for my expression, I don't think I checked my grammar, I mean they are hateful people who send you private messages. New players have every right to continue competing.
I accept your apology and correction. Now never step on me, in front of me, or around me with regard to the battle field you peasant! -insert propaganda!-
There is an etiquette involved that generally makes it better for everyone. Others respect your medal, and you respect theirs. If you're not fighting in the air all that often it's no big deal to you, but for those who do, it is annoying to put your damage in and come back and find somebody overhit you. The alternative is to watch every battle as it approaches the end, which becomes time consuming.
Not all of us are familiar with those etiquettes you mentioned, Mr. George Barker. In my case, I am just a casual player, so I am not aware of many things. Additionally, I wanted to debut my production of aerial weaponry. I want to stockpile more of this weaponry because I want to use it during the game's anniversary. I am curious to see how many aerial ranks I can advance. I will be more careful in the future, although don't expect me to hold back in a scenario of war against a known foreign power that is an enemy.
Real War no first hit farming unwritten law, lol.
Whole different scene.
That is when we work together as eAmeicans to defeat our enemies.
Farming is a whole other scene. You will be fine and get a better grasp of what is going on.
Best of luck on your endeavors.

I was bored and thought it would be fun to write this. 😉👍
This game is full of them. The best thing you can do is to ignore them.
Pretty benign, the message you received, if I were to express my opinion. But if you do feel threatened, feel free to report the user in question, or the whole flying (pun intended, hope I got him right) gang, for that matter.
Other than that, just as you consider hitting over him your God/Plato given right in this game, so can he say it's his right to use another option of this game, namely the private message. You don't want that, block him.
That's true, I've also received very funny messages in which they even threaten to kill me in real life. It's not worth paying attention to them, since they are generally kids who want to feel like the bad guy. I simply don't take them seriously. Anyway, this is just a game. I wrote this article just for fun because I was bored, although it's true that there are some really crazy people.
V + E
a level 1000+ guy wrote to complain that I stole his medal and demanded I send him the gold, then went on to explain that he needs every medal he tries for to maintain his level of fighting.
I think, if someone cry and scream so much for a medal, probably he has not other troubles in his life, so you should enjoy for him and his luck.
It's the magic of this game, all of this is a fun anecdote.
Regarding "I decided to debut my air weapons in a random"
Unless you are already buying 10 Gold per day you are probably better of selling the air weapons and buying gold
and then using the gold to buy EBs
Data
Worse case EB price is 10 2xEBs for 39G or roughly 39k cc this will give you an extra 200 Hits
(can get better EB prices during some events -like now and from VIP shop)
the 39k cc will buy less than 26 AQ5s (would be exactly 26 if AQ5 was 1500 current lowest US market price 1589)
5 hits per AQ5 gives the equivalent of an extra 130 hits - significantly less than the 200.
And when using EBs will get you more PP
If producing weapons other than AQ5 the case for EBs is even better
In my case, I can already afford it, and in fact, I buy 10 gold a day. Each aerial weapon, along with its raw materials, is from my own production. I intend to use this production for my own consumption in the future. I am not very skilled in aerial combat; can you guide me more on the subject? It’s worth noting that, although I have been playing for a few years, I am unfamiliar with the meaning of some of the abbreviations used. I thank you in advance for your help.
Probably not what you want to hear but ...
You will likely get more SHs by following the etiquette than by stealing (yes I use that word per the colloquial usage of most erep players and not the legal definition).
Will typically require less energy and should have a higher success ratio (some folks like me will often check their BH/SH near the end of the battle). There are a lot of battles and at times can find battles where several minutes have passed with no one hitting - just now fought in a battle ~28 minutes old with no one fighting on either side.
Best times to get a "cheap" SH are late on Monday - many folks are saving energy for a start of a new Weekly Challenge. And on Tuesday after folks have fought in air epics.
Also consider fighting for one of our TW partners - more often open SH on the non-US side of our many many TWs than on the eUS side.
As far as manufacturing Air weapons, whenever I run the numbers I find I can buy for significantly cheaper (especially when buying in bulk directly from the seller) that it would cost to manufacture at market wages. But manufacturing will get you more PP.
Thank you very much gentleman, I will keep it in consideration, for now I am going to focus more on land battles.
I was sold at "more PP" 😉
