Dear Sweet New Zealand,

I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to represent you in Congress this month, as I believe it will be an extremely formative time in our nation's development, and there is a great deal that needs doing.

For those of you who don't know me, I'll give you a quick run down of some of my past accomplishments:

*Six time Senator in the eUnited States
*Commander of the US Training Corps Recruitment and Retention Division
*Inspector General of the USTC
*Secretary of Technology, eUS
*National Coordinator, USWP
*Active member of the eNZ Army
*Current provisional Minister of Finance, eNZ

Now that you're suitably impressed by just how awesome I am, I want to establish my goals for my first term in the eNZ Congress. Obviously we're all going to work together to establish the areas of responsibility between the President and Congress, and work to get programs in place to provide for the needs of our citizens while balancing the funding we need to adequately equip our military, and maintain a suitable stack of MPPs.

I do, however have a couple of things that I'd like to focus on. First and foremost Congress needs to establish a tax policy. Myself, I favor 1% imports and 1% VATs. How high we set our income taxes is largely dependent on how large of a budget we create. For the reasons why I favor this tax policy, please read my presentation on the economy.

Additionally, I want to setup a central bank to regulate currency and manage budget related finances. Having a strong central bank will allow New Zealand to protect itself from price manipulation from outside investors or unscrupulous governments. Also, by having an agency overseeing the distribution of budgetary funds prevents any one budget-line holder from spending in excess of the money set aside for it by Congress.

I'm sure other congressmen will have their own ideas for how we can make New Zealand a better, strong country, and I look forward to the opportunity of providing my knowledge and experience to the process. As a long time senator I appreciate the value of multiple viewpoints, and believe together we can imagine and implement a great nation.
