Government News

Upcoming Presidential Elections
Four candidates have made their intentions known: Walorm of the Orange Party, Hitoshi Makoto of the United Bushi of Nihon, iazza of the Korean Nationalist Party and Dokomo of the Godzilla party. Citizens are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the candidates in order to make an informed decision come the fifth.

Congressional Elections
A new session of the Imperial Diet of Japan has been called. With His Imperial Majesty Kokawayoshi Makoto away on an Imperial Retreat, the Speaker of Congress, Reiji Mitsurugi, was given Imperial authority to open this session. We look forward to a prosperous term.

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs
The appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sophia Forrester, has stepped down for personal reasons. Vice President Lauri Mursu will be stepping up as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs for the duration of the Minamoto administration.


Congress

Sol
The Sol Security Council's decision to allow Theocratic South Korea to participate in the Southeast Asian wargames has sparked a tremendous debate in the Imperial Diet. Some citizens are outraged and some congressmen have called for Japan's removal from the alliance in protest.
