Never A Dull Moment

The Political Week
If I said this week on the political front was boring it would be a bare face lie. We had the Dictatorship Reform Act plus Amendment, voting fraud, the CP Election campaign and finally controversy surrounding King William the Great. There are probably other things that I have forgotten about but these have stuck in my mind.
Dictatorship Reform Act
It started with the amendment to the unpopular Dictatorship Reform Act being rejected, thus meaning if the Act was passed we would have two competing Acts which would have caused headaches for the MPs down the road. I have to admit I was part of the problem as I was wholly against the Act so saw no need for an amendment, so I could have made a rod for my own back there by voting against the amendment.
Then there was the vote on the Dictatorship Reform which had its own controversy. The proposer wanted the PM to automatically become Dictator and claimed it was in the interests of eUK and not a conflict of interests even though he was running for PM. To my knowledge he never explained why it was in Britain’s best interest and seemed to have a theme of hatred towards our current Dictator. In fact not much of a counter argument was put forward to the criticism but in all fairness there was quite a bit of vocal disapproving of the Act. Though if you are trying to get an Act through parliament you need to put forward reasons why it is a good idea and not simply say “You are wrong cos I say so”.
Once the debate concluded voting started which resulted in voting fraud so votes were checked to ensure the outcome was correct. Always a procedure has been put in place to ensure no one votes pretending to be someone else in future.
The CP Election & King William the Great
This week saw the candidates running for the PM Office set out their stall for the impending election. There was the usual what they plan to do, mudslinging and begging us to vote for them, would you expect anything else.
As polling day neared it turned in to a Scooby Doo moment, Aaron Mark Daniels ignited the powder keg on the potential identity of the self-acknowledged returning player King William the Great. This shocked the long-time members of the community and sent shivers down the eUK political old guard. Even by Aaron’s own admission the evidence isn’t the smoking gun but it has left questions about King William’s motives and intentions.
The water was made even murkier by the fact that King William initially said he feed Aaron false information to see if he could be trusted in regards to a cabinet position. Then later stated the evidence was false and doctored. Failing to keep the story the same just raises further questions. King William has also taken the stance that he doesn’t have to disprove the allegations rather we have to prove them. To be honest if the allegations are to be false disproving them would achieve closure on the subject much quicker. Maybe he should have just used the quote from Francis Urquhart “You might think that but I couldn’t possibly comment”.
I have my own personal opinions on this situation but as the publication is meant to be independent I have tried to paint a picture without taking a side, not sure it worked though.
The Usual Suspects
That’s all from me, hope you enjoyed the article. Please vote, subscribe and comment as it makes me feel better on the inside. Bye until next time.

You forgot to mention the 'congress seats for CP votes' by Willy which has stirred us up in UKPP along with the breach of what is viewed as acceptable party protocol, the flip side is a fair few of us are watching him and his mouthpiece like hawks within the party
"acceptable party protocol" would not be persecuting someone over nonsense.
If you look at it from a PRACTICAL point of view, I have kept our numbers from deteriorating, held us steady in Parliamentary Elections, got within a reasonable distance of getting a UKPP PM elected, gotten members more engaged, tried to form alliances, etc.
But nope, let's be obsessed because someone accuses me of being a former player. THE SCANDAL!!!
To be a former player you have to stop playing http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/6162038
You yourself have stated several times to different people that you're a returning player and yet you are extremely unwilling to say who your previous account was which implies, to a naturally suspicious person like myself, that you've got something to hide. A PRACTICAL point of view would have been actually naming your full cabinet, responding to genuine questions about your policies with actual answers rather than dodging the issue.
Who have you got engaged from within the party, all I've seen so far is your "Lord Haw-Haw"(spokesman) parroting things rather than actually doing anything constructive in his role. The party secretary should have been helping out with advice on dealing with the storm that your actions created.
I made it clear that I would actively oppose any individual that wanted the CP to also be the dictator, which you made a grab for, as we have a system that may not be perfect but it works quite well.
Your obsessive hatred/dislike of Woldy appears to be your main focus and driving ambition, so in my view you've done nothing for the party but bring in a suspect multitude of accounts, and then cosy up to known troublemakers
Sorry now I'm a little confused are you saying now that you are not a former player or not a particular former player. The brutel truth is "THE SCANDAL" as you put it is very real, the allegations are serious ones to make but equally you can not dodge it by saying the ball is in their court. The cold hard facts are your policies have proved unpopular and there hasn't been any counter argument to the criticism, your story has changed in regards to "THE SCANDAL" and you seem to think you can just ignore it.
Thank you Tangbod, I don't know how that one slipped my mind.
You're accusing me of being a well respected, influential player. I am flattered, but I am not who they say I am, and even if I was it would be a virtue, not a vice. 🙂
suspect multitude of accounts? Um what.... If that were the case we'd be the #1 party. It's an achievement keeping the ship steady is my point.
All you've done is say negative comment after negative comment instead of ACTUALLY HELPING tangbod. YOU had an opportunity to be in my cabinet and to help the party, but all you do is whine. Someone call the wambulance.
Dude you seriously need to get a Press Officer or something. That opening statement is a journalistic gold mine of a soundbite
' well respected, influential player.'
Ajay nobody thinks that about you
No willy I've been reporting suspect accounts as a good party secretary should do to try and eliminate the potential PTO threat to at least a minimum
I'm not active on IRC which is quite critical to be involved in government level politics, numpty, and have never had any interest in that level if you'd cared to ask. We've criticised you and your policies for being short sighted with no actual thought in them, you think by spouting useless jingoistic drivel makes for a 'good', and I use that term loosely for you, PP then you're more deluded than the first impression you gave
