To Popelus: Uh... comrade, I am having some problems believing that you are here to help the ePhilippines. Either you are malicious and are succeeding in damaging our economy or you are benevolent but are hugely ignorant o the laws of economics, which could make you fail your objective.
Many already assume the first position. So, that base is covered.
But just in case you are in the second case raising taxes and (contrary to popular belief) raising minimum wage does NOT help an economy. Remember, energy (in this case, in the form of food) is necessary or any economy to run smoothly and efficiently. Thus, for our economy to be at its best, food must be available in mass numbers and in a cheap price. Therefore, raising taxes (forcing companies to pay the government more when it does not mat food) and raising minimum wage (forcing them to pay employees more) ruins their budgets, diverts their budgets to government rather than manufacturing and buying raw materials to use, makes it unprofitable (which gives great incentive to shut down and stop making food), and makes the currency worthless because it will take EVERYBODY more currency to get the same product. If the business shuts down because the producer no longer has money to keep going, it will cause a severe shortage, which will bring the economy to a grinding halt and will not end immediately because the tariffs (one of the taxed you raised) will make whatever food available to expensive for anyone to buy. This is no way to help a economy. This is a way of demolish an economy from the foundation upward. If you TRULY wish our eNation well, please either resign now or vote for nothing (and propose nothing) until you learn the basics of Austrian Economics.
