I have a question for the eGovernment: Why u run away bro?
Candor
I've revised this article.
I needed to vent, and there was one fellow who felt he was taking the brunt of that venting unfairly. Turns out he worked his ass off for us.
And after seeing Pfieffer say the eGovernment threw in the towel 12 hours before reset (see comments below), it's clear that IES wasn't to blame. Pfieffer is to blame. Jk.
IES is a cog in a wheel, and usually unappreciated. They work hard behind the scenes vetting hundreds of applications each month, and it's real work. They deserve our thanks, not my vitriol.
THAT SAI
😨I'm dissapointed to hear that eGov gave up so early. I brought 25 to the table, in less than 12 hours, and had another 25 awaiting entrance.
If I could do that, so could others. The spread needed was less than 150 votes.
If ATO is tired of the game, let's let someone else run it. Because in eAmerica, we never give up. We fight till the end of the round. And when knocked down, we brush ourselves off and fight again.
Last nights battle was one in a never ending succession of battles we face as a nation. We lost that round, but we'll fight again tomorrow, and again next month. Cause that's just how eAmerican's roll.
That's the game. And we're in it to win it.
Let's roll.
____________________________________________________________________________
Questions I'd like answered publically:
Who runs ATO?
Who chooses that person?
Who chose to shut down ATO fully 12 hours before reset?
Who gave those people such authority?
Who runs IES?
Who chooses that person?
Who runs FEC?
Who chooses that person?
Who is organizing the "Get out the vote" media blitz we need tomorrow?
Who assigned that person?
You have any you want answered? Ask them here.
I'll write a follow up with what answers I can gather. Cause let's face it, there's work to be done, and we need leadership.
Maybe it's time to shake it up eAmerica.

NOTE: Has anyone else seen the movie, "The Bunker"? It's about the last few days of Nazi Germany (Pardon the Nazi shite, just using the story), and follows Hitler and his staff right up to the last moment. A day before the surrender of Berlin, with fighting going on all around them, the head Generals and staff attempt to sneek out of the city using the subway system. They pass fighting soldiers, bloody but still firing. Children with grenade launchers running up to Russian tanks. Meanwhile, these guys are trying to get the hell out.
These were their leaders, mind you. The average Joe just kept on fighting, not knowing there was no one left at the top.
Last nights incident so reminded me of that movie that I get a little sick, to be forthright, even in this game.
Our leaders went home, and left us leaderless in the fight. But fight to the last minute we did.
Proud to be eAmerican and have fought beside you. I will again.
Ashamed to be a "leader" were I in eGovernment last night.
You deserve better, countrymen.
PS: It's a good movie, watch it

Problem is IES is run by a certain specific group of people. Who are if I have seen and witnessed during this month have specific schedules.
Gogogo Candor
To be fair, the connotation that you have some sort of special access or ability is probably misleading. That being said, once it was clear AFA couldn't be pushed out without another 150ish people (who we didn't have and couldn't get in 12 hours), people kinda closed up shop to prep for the election. I saw your ping when I woke up this morning, but it isn't every night I can be on until 2 AM for reset...
I made a couple of shouts yesterday stating that USWP & AMP had not done all they could do moving people around. I was basically told to STFU. That USWP & AMP had done more than their fair share and that others should do as much. The idea was that there was plenty of time to shore up the other 3 parties. I obviously didn't know what I was talking about.
Yeah, it's always a good plan to wait until the last f'ing minute to do shit like this, isn't it?
PS: Not looking at Candor, he did good.
Plus, before Henry rips me...
I realize that USWP & AMP couldn't have prevented this all by themselves.
could it have been 630 am at night ?
😉 hehe
I believe that IES was most likely swamped with request and had been busting ass all day, that said I agree that if someone who has been playing as long as Candor makes a request it should be taken care of quickly; I mean we did put out the request for American citizens to submit trusted friends for CS....
You obviously didn't know what you were talking about, pickl. If you thought for one moment that the AFA was going to stop growing while we tried to block them out, you're an idiot. They can birth multis and move in previously inactive accounts with ease, while we're stumbling with actual people because we haven't had a reliable botnet run by the US since 2009.
^ Wow.. so you are advocating bots Fluffy?
Also, mmmmmm tearssssssssssss
Ummmm RGR i don't know if you knew this but i'm pretty sure the act of collecting peoples tears and drinking them makes you a tad bit insane.
"...once it was clear AFA couldn't be pushed out without another 150ish people (who we didn't have and couldn't get in 12 hours) people kinda closed up shop to prep for the election"
Pfieffer, unless we were short cits, which may have been the case, I gave a list of 25 in the last 12 hours (approved), and had a second list I couldn't find anyone to give to of about the same number.
And we closed up shop 12 hours in advance of reset?
First of all, IES isn't in charge of ATO.
But we did have people available all weekend on IRC and I was checking and responding to messages in-game every hour or so while awake. In addition, others involved in the ATO effort had personal authorization from me to use their own judgment and approve ATO voters.
PMing me on the eusa forums is about the most obscure place to try and reach me. And you didn't even start trying until most people had given up already.
Henry, as usual, you miss my point. There is no advantage to USWP or AMP having more members than any other party, yet they wait until the last minute to move them? Also, as had been said by OTHERS, we just give up because lack of interest? WTF? The big, powerful political machine just kicks it into neutral and rolls belly up because we are 150 short? Sounds like the damned kids are tired of playing and are just giving up.
And so the eUSA dies.
The only thing that troubles me is if you went to #IES and couldn't talk. That shouldn't have happened. But still, if you'd have contacted the people who actually run ATO, they could have gotten you the authorization you needed.
The eUSA is anything but dead lol
Slade: I didn't start trying untill most had given up? Read my media bro. I'd been trying all week, I broke the first ATO article, before anyone else was organizing anything publically, and before that the pol mod change news worldwide.
I don't blame you for the broken system Slade. I see now that higher ups had thrown in the towel before the nation. That sucks.
v & s
I agree that the American Government should not have given up...never give up...never surrender....
ruh roh
😁^ I love you you commie bastard. Crack me up every single day.
Got the blues eUSA? READ MY ARTICLE! http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/is-eusa-dead--2126493/1/20
I would like those answers also...would be nice to know who and how they were pick....
All i know Candor is that i will be mass messaging all day and a lot tomorrow to rally votes. But that's just me!
I see now that higher ups had thrown in the towel before the nation. That sucks.
I agree after the amount of work and money a lot of us had put in independently
Never give up. Time for change.
I want to be clear there's shared responsibility in many directions. I don't lay this at any one man's feet.
I know IS has had some RL concerns this week, in example, which absolutely trump eRep.
But we as a nation have work to do. Never give up.
Firstly, Slade is a quality guy. I do not believe that EVERYONE in the govt. failed. Also, I did not know IS had personal issues. (RL>eRep) But does he have a VP or CoS? Shit, did everyone have issues. I had issues this weekend too and I worked yesterday and today. I admit that when I got home last I was tired for real and tired of eRep crap so I just went to bed. If I had been up I would have moved to a party to help.
..and I don't run for PotUS because I feel I wouldn't be available enough, lmfao
😁^ That's why you have a good staff Bia. And one day, you shall be our glorious leader! Or just boss. Or Mrs. Boss. Or Ms. Boss? Or Your Sexy POTUSness.
Bah!
I wouldn't need a title...we need to get back to the team effort, not the individual quest for rank and power that got us here.
Who runs IES? Who chooses that person?
Who runs FEC? Who chooses that person?
When the position of IES Director becomes vacant, Congress accepts nominations and hold a vote very much like the Speaker election process. Congress also has the ability to remove a director by way of forum vote. I've heard nothing but good feedback about Slade though. I *think* Cromstar was heading up the FEC effort prior to the election process changes in game. I'm not speaking as an official govt spokesman, ...
just offering a couple of answers.
Thank you Rainy. I know some of this ofc, looking for the scoop in it's entirety. I've never seen this written down anywhere, have you? Any of the above procedures?
I agree, Slade is doing a great job. As are others. But it should be clear to everyone whom is doing what, and how we're choosing these teams, and how these choices are made, etc.
I'm just anal about processes and transparency where available.
