Human mind is corrupted in its basis

Speaking about this topic, it's hard not to acknowledge people saying how they cannot get onto the bad side of life, as I like to refer it myself. The truth is our drives make us unwise and at moments stupid, we make decisions that only suit us and for what cause...? There is no explicit answer to that, there's just some philosophical thoughts about who we are and what is the sense of life. There are many ideas why and how we get corrupted, but greed prevails over all, personal gains, willingness to be over others and many other things, the human mind is unlimited as is our greed.

I once was told a story about how god decided to give the couple on Earth, somehow they could represent Adam and Eve, a rock. They were offended by it, god then decided to pass them a banana and they accepted it. He then later on stated that if they accepted a rock they would be immortal, strong as the rock, but they accepted a banana which made them mortal. Somehow the banana does show our true nature, we can rot from inside, it is not everlasting and can be bitten off, as can be our minds and our thoughts, who we are. We can be simply said mislead way too often. And do not get me wrong, I believe religion is an opium for people, but I do respect pluralism, I do respect all religions. Some of the ideas are wonderful, but that still doesn't mean they do not cause corruption in our basis, in our thoughts. They do, oh, and we aren't aware how much. My point isn't religion, my point altogether is human mind, as you could see from the title and as such, I would like to set a hypothesis. If an individual wasn't born with drives to live, survive and breed, would we be wiser and more respectful to each other? The idea of it does sound quite interesting, but yes, it is illusionary and cannot be accomplished nor ever reached.

But to say the least. If you think of yourself as someone who has a clear mind, you haven't ever meet yourself in most dire moments, when it comes to your survival. At that time no one will ask you if you want to survive, corruption and backstabbing will prevail above all other, even the wisdom that is so important these days or so we think. That's another topic. There is one more question I have, what exactly is corruption and can it be compared to greed? There surely is a parallel connection between the two words and they express an individual, most likely a fat capitalist with no feelings for others but himself. Being rich is not a sign of success, but more or less a sign of your egoism and unwillingness to share all the man-made riches of this world to others beside you. The concept may sound funny, I know.

Now I continue with an idea, how can you make a human mind uncorrupted? Well, I did give an insight about the drives, if you take that away, the lust mainly, then you are on the verge to create someone who will not only care for others, but be lovely to them. Lust creates many negative things such as jealousy and taking something that doesn't rightfully belong to you as yours. It's hard to define it all, hard to even describe how to make someone uncorrupted. But I do believe the ones who think about things, mainly the philosophers, found out the sense of life in it and would unlikely fall to the effects of greed and corruption if they are really who they pretend themselves to be. In some way I regard the artists, not all of them, partially as philosophers - singers. I suppose it's not hard to guess why.
