Hibernia, Mea Culpa

Day 820, 23:06 Published in Ireland Japan by Donovan Thomas

 eIreland

I had an RL friend come into my life with a problem last night that made me reflect on this silly game. It made me reflect on how serious we take it and then again how light we take it. It made me reflect on my spat with Sean Power months ago and my reform soon after that in my mind at least made Sean Power my de facto conscience.

You see, for a very long time I held my tongue and was VERY polite at all times; or at least tried to be. Then… the other day… the dam broke.

The moment after I publish this I will delete my article about Theus and Dubh and Darragh.

Why?

Frankly it comes down to the fact that I think of each of them as I just stated. As Theus, Dubh and Darragh. Not as;

Theus Jackus

Darragh O Faolain

and

Dubhthaigh

I think of them as their first name. As people. Not players. People whom I have had fun with; People whom I have high-fived and berated, sometimes within the same day, but people just the same.

Hell, I came back here for the PEOPLE. I wanted to be HERE with YOU when war finally came.

I want (us) to realize we are all people here (Sean taught me that through blunt force after I called Brian Boru a pr!ck once, though he deserved it!).

I’m not the first to sit at or near the top and see budding conspiracies sprouting around them. The last few weeks of constant negotiation, intrigue, rhetoric, defence and offence have made me a bit e-jumpy. Mea Culpa to the nth degree (just wait, you’ll be there too someday, and hopefully I’ll lol instead of troll).

However, I believe in reasons, not excuses.

Some may say that this is political maneuvering. Those who really know me (as much as you can here online), and I dare say at least two of those three do, know I really don’t like politics. I come straight from the heart. Sometime wrong, maligned, or just pissed off, but heartfelt none the less.

We play this game to have fun. We play THIS specific game to have fun with other real people.

So.

Tonight I say, whether I was wrong or right about any possible plans…

I was wrong.

We are eIrish.

We together make this e-Isle what it is in a world of much larger nations.

And I chopped a bit of our strength away. I’m sorry fellas. If you can, let’s move forward.

Theus told me when he had the aplomb to contact me via PM shortly after my initial article;

“As the Vice President, I very much believe your opinion carries considerable weight in this country, especially amongst young citizens…”

My previous article was signed as DT, Citizen, This one I shall sign as VP.

Thank you for you time.

Very Respectfully,

Field Marshal Donovan Thomas
Vice President of the Republic of Ireland

Note
You may have noticed that I did not mention Longbaugh and John Jay. Longbaugh and I will never get along. I think we like it that way. And John Jay and will have to come to Jesus in IRC one night together to make things right. But for the other three gents, I say cheers. I’m sorry.
