Hey, Stop Wasting Gold

Day 870, 22:16 Published in Canada Canada by Saya Innsbruck

I am talking about you people with the ads bashing this tax or that person/group. I don't know (or do know) who bought them, but those are even more useless than than Lana, which produce more strength. The only real use for ads is to shout out important info to the hordes that clearly don't read the media, so we have to waste gold on that. I also get it if you want otherwise non-responsive players to get involved into some sort of new organization/party, which can be good because it can retain players.

But ads to tell congressmen to vote this or that? Wtf? I like to vote base on facts, not populist arguments. Or propaganda. Sure, you can throw propaganda out in Phoenix nations, to troll them or whatever; it has its uses. But I am clearly seeing propaganda from Canadian soruces. You waste gold (you know, can be used to help someone buy a house or 2?) to put up ads for articles that:

1. People that cares will have already noticed your article, you twit.
2. People that don't care will still not care.

So ads have 2 final purposes in these cases. One is to stroke someone's massive e-___. The other is to shout so hard that everyone thinks you are right, while screaming negative catchwords on their opponents (note propaganda is often being far more negative to your opponents than being positive on your own position)*, usually comparing them to various high profile corporate or politcal individuals that people hate, or some pointedly evil characters from movies or cartoons. Such ingenunity! Goebbles would be proud.

You might as well put in your article "I'll give you money if you vote and comment!" - at least those gold will go to someone, right? But of course votes aren't the primary thing they are looking for - it's the fact that you want to proof yourself right that matters most.

Unless it's party gold (which clearly you can't spend it on anything else). But then you should be stating DAL/CPF/whatever is backing this or that, because it IS party gold after all.

Oh, and I bolded some elements because apparently shouting your words makes it more pursuavsive. I would bombard my article with more pictures too, but that would be too obnoxious.

*I recognize the irony here, so take this as you will.
