Help me write the article, "When I began..."

Aren Perry
The idea of this article is simple, it's time to get all teary eyed and reminisce about our first days in erepublik and what has changed.
I joined because of my real life friend Geno Garon who I met at college.
When I began Benn Dover was president in his first term and taxes were a great deal lower. Uncle Sam was the president of the AAP and was the head of the department of Fun. He funded a fungasm contest for the funniest comment, which I won for a total of 800 or so USD. With that money I bought a premature Q3 house which I still own and am glad to have.
The first time I ran for congress I was level 11 until two days before the election and I almost ran in Idaho until I took advice from Ian John Locke and ran in Illinois. The gold value was ~.015 and our military was paid.
The first message I ever got was from Istarlan to join the National Guard. Equality wasn't even a player and now he's way above me in experience points.
Tell me about when you began.

I like it. It makes me feel kind of old though.
When I joined Dish was wrapping up his presidency. The first time I ran for Congress I didn't know I was a candidate and there were no levels. Congress wasn't so crazy uptight back then either. My first message probably had to do with SO's for those that remember them. And Equality wasn't even a player and now he's way above me in experience points.
I joined when my friend who plays (name not given) invited me to the game.
When I began Uncle Sam was in the beginning stages of his second term. It was the time when the war against Mexico was starting to rap up. Following my mentor who invited me I joined the AAP when Ian John Locke was Party President.
I first ran for congress this month as a matter of fact, I decided on Utah because of their congressman who was extremely inactive. The election went back and forth between me and enderaggie, the conservative candidate and ended up winning by 1 vote.
Now coming to the present I'm closing in one my second hard worker medal and gaining respect and reputation in congress. So as you can see I'm not that old when you come to think of it.
When I began playing, Benn was finishing up his Presidency. I quickly took an interest in politics, joined the Nationalist Party, and slowly gained respect there. I also joined the NG early on.
In February, I ran for congress in Rhode Island and lost. Then, in March, I moved to the Green Mountain State, won there, and just won a second term in April. I'm also now the Nationalist Party Vice President.
Today, I am split between moving forward in my political career, which I feel has been very successful, or pursuing a career in the military.
Lol
>Equality wasn't even a player.
That's because when EQ joined very recently he exploded onto the scene entering politics really early, and has used hundreds of gold for hundreds of fights to gain tons of exp and rank, putting him above most in the country and I think will make a record run to the Field Marshall rank
I began playing on day 50 after being invited by a member of Gamefaqs. I was a member of the Democratic Party, then the Gamefaqs party, then probably the USWP.
For the most part I was a two-clicker. There was a brief period where I was mayor, and I bought a hospital with my own funding for a town of about 9 people, and only 2 of them had voted. Anyways, I was under the impression it helped all the citizens of that city in daily wellness, I found out about a month ago that those sentiments were false even during the beta.
When the war module was released, I tried fighting, and died. I was discouraged and didn't start fighting again until a couple months ago.
A few things I remember was that I had some contact with Benn Dover, I don't remember what it was about, but it happened in the early days.
I have a few good stories of my beginning months on my wiki page...sure wish I had it in my to tell a few more recent stories....
I was invited by someone on /v/ in December of 2007. I didn't find the email by February, and I didn't start really playing, as in getting a job and participating, until March 1, iirc. I'm p sure that my first act was voting for Nave, that's why I think it was March 1.
I don't remember my first pm, but it was to either Dish, Nave, zaney, or Titu Maiorescu.
I didn't want to run for any public office until June, when the PP of the Libs left the game (Dia ;-😉. I've been semi politically active ever since.
>Anyways, I was under the impression it helped all the citizens of that city in daily wellness, I found out about a month ago that those sentiments were false even during the beta.
Before the war mod came out, a hospital gave everybody in the region 1 wellness for every quality.
As a newer arrival to this game, I don't have anything particularly moments of nostalgia to induce, but I enjoy reading these posts by the veteran players. Keep it up! 🙂
When I arrived Uncle Sam had just been impeached. I thought that this was just about the funniest thing ever and was hooked. Maybe I'll be impeached one day too!
I think Archibald was the President.
Roby Petric was President of USWP and gave it up for Peregrine to run for CP.
Evan Bayh was President of AAP and was fighting giving it up to Uncle Sam to run for CP.
Beta was the fad. Checkers was still around. Chimichonga Barbosa beat me in the run for Mayor of Trenton. We made the City of Trenton Public Works organization to house the Trenton treasury after the conversion to V1.
What else? Hmm... I dk. I remember Citizen HEM being elected President of AAP after Evan Bayh changed the party acronym to FAG and made some lewd press releases.
Also, I remember when party's had press releases.
I remember party presidents being able to organize party order any time they wished.
