i still do not understand why presidential canidates insist on having a "vice president running mate" , if you were to win the cp seat and something happened to where you can no longer be president your chosen vp will not become president it will be the one who got the second highest amount of votes
A VP is better served as an assistant. I'm sure that's the purpose. But maybe I'm wrong.
i like that you want a constitution 😉
I don't want to sound negative but... you are proposing lower taxes and higher government spending (i.e. government owned companies). HOw are you going to balance the country's finances?
I know that you think that we earn more than we spend, but actually the country needs to retain a gold currency reserve of at least 500 gold to manage the country exchange rate. Particualrly as there is c14k NIS out there in the hands of specualtors after our recent currency crisis.
Renewal of our MPPs will cost upwards of 400 gold this month. And in addition to the cost of buying/creating the proposed new government run companies, there will be the cost of financing their recurrent costs. Sadly there is insufficient mechansism/info in erep to be able to effectively monitor the management of companies - so we can anticipate realistically a corruption cost of about 20% on average accross the government portfolio - with Money Market money laundering, it's impossible to have coinclusive evidence of stealing, unless it's particularly brash/high.
I just worry that we're going to imbalance our fiscal position and that will cause us problems and an inability to absorb un anticipated expenses.

Franz we have the bond scheme 😃 I hope we can get alot of people to sign up, and this will provide us with immediate finance, and we can over time build up enough gold to pay back our bond holders and end the scheme. We can always talk to foreign governments and investors to get them to chip in too.
We have 5 MPPs - but we can and will do something about this. A small nation such as ours does not need that many. We would therefore drop 2 of them and try to negotiate a deal whereby the remaining countries pay some of the value of the MPP.
Corruption and the like occur at all levels of government, always have, always will. We'll try our best to limit access of government companies to those we all know and trust, and this should reduce the risk.
You're worried that the lack of money in our accounts will leave us open to attack by Turkey and to economic attack through the monetary market? Well have no fear, we can always seek emergency funding, through more emergency bonds, or even raising taxes for a bit. I dislike the idea of taxing people to much to save for a rainy day when we don't really need to prepare, the problem can be dealt with quite easily in the short run 😃

i like the nond idea
but how would we do that
if 100 people buy bonds thats only 100 gold
but you have to go to 100 different accounts and donate 1 gold daily
might take several hours
People can buy more than one bond 😃
I myself have 16G that I will be contributing to the cause. And we have ~500 active players here, so i'm sure we'll get a fair amount.
yes but my point is 1 account get 4 nis another account gets 2 nis another account gets 16 nis
and you have to do that 4 at least 200 accounts
who would wanna do that
I'm with Franz on this. Stay away from our taxes. See all that gold in our treasury? That is the result of hard work by Franz and Bennychka over the past month. Cut taxes, you cut our funds. Bonds or not, you make a dent in the economy, a big one.
lower taxes=cheaper stuff😛eople buy more stuff=bigger tresury=a whole bunvh of other stuff
@70MD - WE have a set of activated MPPs against Turkey, a set of Turkish MPPs that our activated against us, and our MPPs are activated in many important partner country wars, I'd strongly suggest we do not limit the number of MPPs. Although 100 gold seems a lot, compared to the cot of fighting a war against turkey, the value for money is incredible. Also - look we have almost constant war opportunities and not just training wars - the opportunity to defend our allies and promote our profile in the world. The only MPP that is not offering us such war opportunities is the US one... will you propose we drop that?
On Bonds. It is a good innovative idea. However it remains to be seen just how much take-up there will be for this idea, and how quickly you can raise capital in this way. Remember from attack by turkey to loss of our first region is only 24 hours, 3 regions will have fallen after 28 hours, after 72 hours we could be wiped off the map - can you really raise the requisite cash in such a small amount of time?
Finally - from experience, when signing MPPs from a position of desperation - i.e. "quick we need to sign MPPs, Turkey is attacking" we end up with much less favourable cost sharing deals from our partners, than having it all negotiated carefullly in advance, or at a time when they need our suppport.

With all due respect to Gawin and 70MD, your ideas smell more of populism than true leadership. It`s not that populism is that bad, but in our case of small nation surrounded by...well, let`s call them bloodthirsty neighbors🙂 every mistake can be our last one. And the only things that stands between us and destruction is our MPP`s and gold reserve. Do not play with it. True players and patriots survive with current taxes, so be it.
