Join the new world

Greetings

In what is becoming a tradition in my college career, my finals are battling with forms of entertainment for my attention. Last year it was Fallout 3 that kept me from my studies, this year it is eRepublik. Not that I mind, I consider my time spent on eRep a relaxation compared to the tedium of my academic career.

Moving on, the big issue over the last few days have of course been the election of Jewitt as our newest eUS President and the subsequent attack on the eJapan region of Kyushu.

Some have been quick to criticize the eUS, saying that we have abandoned our belief in liberty and freedom in order to expand and gain a high iron region. Others have called into question the patriotism of any who speak up and have attempted to explain our actions, that we are moving into Asia to help free oppressed peoples and cripple a PHOENIX stronghold.

I have been and continue to be on the fence about this whole issue. I was here, as were most of you when we were reduced to almost nothing and I was here when we pushed the last remnants out of our country. I always thought to myself that unless some grave action warranted it, we would abstain from aggressive action for a period of time, I now realize that this was a naive notion. I voted for the war and I fought my fights during the battle, but in the back of my head I continued to have doubts as to the righteousness of our actions. Do the ends justify the means?

I guess only time will tell


In other news, everyone should fight against the British to train and get their wellness up for the coming days, here are the DoD Orders for the day.

I was pleased to learn on Sunday that I have been named the new Director of Communications for America's Advancement Party. In this role I intend to more aggressively promote the ideals of the AAP while pursuing a more active role in the discussion of prominent issues both here in the eUS and around The New World.
