Yesterday it was revealed that BattalGazi, the Supreme Commander of «Phoenix» and a tank, who was a Turkish citizen not so long ago, is going to run for presidency in eRussia. He had been promoted by eRA Nova. The question we asked some prominent eRussian citizens was:

why does BattalGazi need our presidential seat?

- I don't have anything against BG (BattalGazi – note by eRDR), during the Siberian RW he helped us a lot. I haven't talked to him on this matter yet. But I consider the following options:
1. For the lulz.
2. Everyone's bored to death with the tricks our country makes, with those permanent bans of the presidents and much more, so they had decided to help us in the good sense of a word.
3. BG is simply cheated. For instance, by Hank, who promises to drive BG to the seat by his bots.
4. The alliance decided that this way they can get to our 20k gold stash, to keep it for themselves for a black day and to mend the holes in their budget. The negotiations on this matter started when I was the president, but then the queries were more modest — the required 5000 gold.
I tend to think there's a mixture of factors here. We have really got on their nerves. Hanky will drag BG via bots. And they want our cash. That's all.

- That's not BattalGazi who needs our presidential seat, that's us who need BattalGazi as the president. They say in the comments that «Phoenix» tries to command us and all the stuff. But that's not so. We asked them, we arranged everything. eRussia has sunken in the swamp of sadness. He will rescue us, I promise. We will try to make a baby-boom on that ground. And we will have enough of fightings for sure. And he will strike on campaign plans by himself.

Lika_777, the leader of the eRA Nova party, nominated BattalGazi to president election in Russia:
- He will have much interest in in ruling over our country, he is going to give eRussia one step forward, make it more respectable in this eWorld. And he will have much fun of it, as we will either.

BattalGazi: because I feel ready myself for it. And most of exRussian presidents got banned/impeached. When I was president 2 times, I didnt get impeached, and I got unbanned after than my ban.So if I win, Russia's presidental seat will be safe.I think I dont need to mention I am good with game mechanics and I know how this game works, as an experienced player.

eRDR: Somebody says that Phoenix want solve the problems at our expense.
BattalGazi: No, «Phoenix» is funded by all the alliance members. The payments depend on incomes of the participating countries.

eRDR: What do you aim for?
BattalGazi: I have no specific aims. If I will be elected, I will work with my own cabinet and experienced eRussians. As a president I will work for еру benefit of eRussia.

Not many superpowers in the world were as lucky as eRussia: during the last two months it has been ruled by four presodents of any kind you'd wish for. A quick reminder: these were 4epT, who spent most of his time permanently banned, Orda, who brought back the geopolitical balance in the Far East in just a few days, Phonex-loving kotekzot, who ran away to Pakistan from the evil rodmins, and, at last, the present head of Russia Mezzo, whom his fellows-in-arms call the "facile president".

eRDR is curious about what, our citizens think, kind of person should be the next president and supreme commander. Citizens have a couple of days to decide on thier electoral preferences and create a collective image of ideal president, filling our questionnaire untill the February 5. After the elections we will publish the results and citizens may compare the ideal with the real and have some fun.
