Dycey Farley for Congress in Mpumalanga

Day 884, 00:16 Published in South Africa South Africa by Crimson Boma

I feel a special connection with Mpumalanga; it was here that I reached FM. That’s why I’d like to be your Congress representative.

Hi, I’m Dycey Farley, a relative newcomer to eSouth Africa. I’m a veteran eRepublik player, however, and have learned a great deal during the past 10 months.

Here are some things I believe in:

* We’re only as strong as our citizens and must treat everyone with respect and support. Every player has the right to be heard, educated, trained for military duty, granted assistance and encouraged to pursue their game goals.

* War is an essential element in this game, but we can never forget to look beyond “The Button.” The financial, social and martial preparations for war are most of our focus and a great deal of our fun. The actual war is our reward.

* Our military must be strong, prepared and educated in sound war strategies. It also needs to receive needed funding.

* We must build and support a solid business sector. The tax structure must support profits yet stay balanced so that the government’s needs are met. Flexibility and the willingness to review and adjust as the market changes is a key component to our success.

* Entertainment and the arts should be encouraged and publicized. Guarding our Gross National Happiness is an important job.

* Building bridges with international leaders will make all the difference when we are being threatened. Those relationships need to be maintained and accompanied with MPPs.

* A fortress strategy is a good thing. Populations don’t move quickly, no matter how you beg. Having a large population in a well-defended region or two can preserve your country.

* Cheaters suck.

I think of myself as a warrior, a fighter. I’ll stand on the front lines of battle so I can defend our home. And I’ll stand on the floor of congress giving voice to the people.

I’m also a teacher, happy to share ideas and experiences in hopes of helping others.

Perhaps most important, I’m also a friend. I invite you to join me in conversation, in working for our country and in fun and laughter.

I hope you’ll allow me to represent Mpumalanga in the month to come. I will do my best for you every day.
