Join the new world

With the absolutely insane number of battles that were started yesterday, it was inevitable that each side would win some and lose some. But out of the complicated exchanges that took place over the last 24 hours, who can we say won the day?

First, when I was about to finish this article I saw something really weird. Indonesia RETREATED KARNATAKA!. Seriously, they gave up? I'm not surprised, the wall was -550k with most of their population asleep until the end of the battle, and they probably wanted to continue their advance into Malaysia. Poor Malaysia just lost Sarawak, and will most likely be completely taking over without EDEN intervention, which is locked up elsewhere. Seriously though, Indonesia realizing that they couldn't hold onto the region forever, and just giving up high iron? I couldn't have called that one in a million years. It looks like they may be trying to lose the RW in Madhya Pradesh to. Wow, there are no shortages of surprises in this war, are there?

Spain, in their wars with France and Italy accomplished their main goal: they kept initiative against both countries. They took Piedmont Italy, as well as Loire Valley and Franche-comte from France. The Spanish are now within striking distance of what is for them a high-value target: Paris Isle of France. This if France's main population region, their version of Florida, and the most highly defended with infrastructure. If Spain can take out this vital French region, holding France's only Q5 hospital, it will make the rest of their conquests in France mush easier, as their population will be absorbed. Spain will, however, have a lot more trouble with keeping RWs at bay, something that France learned when they took over Spain.

Poland got initiative against Germany thanks to Sweden's block, and are pushing further into German territory. Frankly, keeping all those new Polish babies requires giving them some action, and I guess here it is. Dispite activating more Phoenix MPPs on Germany's side, Poland should be able to win these battles without too much fuss, as once again, most of Phoenix's damage will probably be diverted elsewhere for larger battles later in the day.

Croatia has successfully conquered 4 of Slovenia's 6 regions, and is making their move today to wipe them out completely. Unless Slovenia gets some serious help from Serbia, Russia or Hungary, they may not exists on the map this time tomorrow. Slovenia has always been a pein in Croatia's side performing blocking maneuvers for Phoenix and helping to absorb allied damage whenever Serbia and Hungary took a stab at Croatia. However, with other very important battles elsewhere, and Serbia potentially getting ready to go after India, Slovenia seems to be hung out to dry here.

Speaking of Serbia, last night we saw some very strange activity from Pakistan, as they region swapped up through Iran and Turkey to border Bulgaria and stopped. Iran let their only fortress state, in Sistan and Bulachistan be destroyed for this swap, so something serious is up in Phoenix. At this point the most likely cause for this region swap is to create a path for Serbia to make their way down to India to put a wrench in the American plans in Asia. However, properly placed RWs can prevent Serbia from reaching India for at least another 4 days, possibly more. Still, this could cause a lot of problems if the Serbs could manage to get down there and start taking Indian regions.

Close by, Greece is in serious trouble with the large list of Turkish MPPs coming back to bite them. They lost Aegean Islands, and are now in danger of losing Crete. Greece's high iron region of Central Greece is not far away, and is an absolutely must-defend region for EDEN. However, with the power behind Turkey and their allies, Greece will need a miracle to avert this impending crisis.

A little to the North, Hungary has been able to win in Crisana against Romania. The Hungarian offensive has stopped however, despite the large amount of damage they were able to lay down against Romania. It remains to be seen whether or not Hungary will continue further into Romanian territory, or if they are trying to bait Romania into activating Hungarian MPPs by attacking Hungary itself.

That's it for now, wow this war is getting crazy. Whodathunk Pakistan would have done anything or Indo would just Retreat Karnataka? Sorry for the walls of text, they were a little unavoidable. Can't wait to see what kind of crazy sh-- starts happening now. It can only get more insane from here, right?
