CP Update Day 1132

Day 1,132, 18:09 Published in Ireland Ireland by John Gormley

Hello my fellow eIrishmen/women! I hope you have all had a good Christmas and I wish you a good 2011 also!
To be honest, I slackened off slightly over Christmas - partly my own fault and partly due to the bad weather (no water in my house for 2 or 3 days for instance!) - but I did just enough to keep things ticking over. Hopefully it will be full steam ahead again from now on.

Finance:
Dubhthaigh has made very promising headway since his appointment as Finance Minister. He is tracking his own progress in this topic and in the Dáil.
With his tremendous experience and expertise in clear view already, I find it easy to believe he can return this country to a position of financial stability.

He has also gotten access to the State Bank. Kolshire has done an excellent job protecting this org and I wish to express my great gratitude to him for executing this role with the utmost professionalism at all times.
However, I believe the Minister of Finance should have access if he so wishes, so I had to request Kolshire to hand over access to Dubhthaigh.

Foreign Affairs:
As you may have noticed, we have lately renewed two MPPs - one with eUSA and today we also got one with eCroatia.

JohnSmith 2K9 is in constant contact with our allies, and is doing invaluable work in building up relations. I am very happy with how he's doing.

Military:
This Ministry has been tipping away nicely despite the problems of supply shortages and the distraction of the OJ appointment controversy.

Thanks to the great work of the four people who have been principally involved this month so far, we have been able to help our allies in many battles - most significantly assisting the Croats against the dirty Serbs. 🙂

Sadly, it looks unlikely we will get involved in any type of conflict of our own this month. I really wanted Northern Ireland during my term, but I think it would be wise to wait for retribution. We are low on food supplies and weapons and eUK are too strong for us at the moment. We simply are just not ready.
But we must at some stage in the near future have our vengeance! 🙂

In other Ministries:
-In New Citizens, I have to admit here that Michael Hook has done little or nothing this month and I am very disappointed in him. Fortunately, fr0fr0 has been doing an excellent job and he more than makes up for this disappointment.

-Immigration: Jacques has been very vigilant in approving citizenship requests and he is doing very well. The one guy that did very publicly slip through the net is mucittin, but I have come across that guy once or twice and he seems to be okay. So, I suppose all's well that ends well...🙂

-James Keiller is continuing to live up to his reputation as "the best MoC since Donut". Read up all his latest article for all the info.

I will leave you with a couple of my favourite Christmas songs of all time:
- I know it's so clichéd to say so but The Fairytale of New York is a real classic.

- Oh Holy Night - incredible song when performed well.

Nollaig Shona Dhaoibh.
