CP Update Day 1124

John Gormley
Good evening. I've been a bit slow with my updates the last week (partly because I had a bit of a flu since Wednesday), so it is definitely time for another one.
The "OJ Situation":
I think all of you should know the background to this, so I won't bother explaining.
There was a vote in the Dáil to "remove orangejuicemmm" as MoD. The vote passed. I don't think that means I am legally required to remove OJ and the fact there was only 2 or 3 votes made me question its significance. However, on reflection I felt the public mood was so strongly against OJ that not respecting the Dáil's wishes would be extremely irresponsible.
It is something I didn't want to do, but I have asked OJ to leave his post. I thanked him for the excellent service he has given to the country in his short stint as MoD, and in fairness to him he took it very well. I would like to thank him again for taking the job when he knew he would be unpopular and for doing it quite professionally throughout.
I have made the decision to move Boris Tomic to Co-MoD with Marcus Suridius. I am asking Sean Power to partner Sennan Blake as Co-CoS.
In other military news, Croatia is under heavy attack from the Serbs. Croatia are major allies of ours so we must help them. Please follow Department of Defence orders HERE.
Foreign Affairs:
Lately, JohnSmith 2K9 and I have been trying to arrange a meeting with the Americans to discuss what to do with the Shannon and the Southeast of Ireland. That meeting was meant to be held tonight but it had to be changed at the last minute. It will definitely be held tomorrow. I was originally thinking of eUSA having both, but now I am considering probably only the Southeast. I can be more definitive about that after I have talked with the Americans.
John has also contacted eRomania in connection with the possibility of signing an MPP with them. The Romanians have quite regular battles against Hungary, so I feel it would be very good value for money.
In other Ministries...
-Community continues to be the most productive outside Military and James is doing a really excellent job. The awards are now in the voting stage and the last lottery went very well. The latest article launched two more great initiatives, including a quiz.
-Fr0Fr0 has been in contact with me very regularly and I can promise you our e-babies are in excellent hands with him. 🙂
-Everytime I contact Jacques Cousteau about Immigration he says everything is fine, so one can deduce that this Ministry is coming along ideally.
-In Finance, Dash is doing a good job under difficult circumstances.
Okay, that's about it. Yet again I've left this article until quite late, so it is somewhat likely I have omitted something. If you have a question, please leave a comment.
Keep it classy eIreland...

Give the US Southeast. Keep Shannon. I love fruit.
Take honey and lemon and stay warm.
G'night.
As long as you didn't steal anything its all good.
Those TD's who didn't want a smart MoD in like OJ are pure political trash John, unlike you. I can see the difficult decisions you face with these c***** in the Dail and you've exhibited a good way to be reasonable about it.
"-In Finance, Dash is doing a good job under difficult circumstances."
I would like to thank our CP in public for this detailing report on economic issues! As a result, i will give you my detailed feelings as i read this line.
I felt good...
Good john, very good.
John, you are a puppet of the dail. How does that feel?
OJ removed is a disgrace! If it was James who had won this election I'm sure impeachment would have been proposed if OJ was made MoD. Look at last months election! Where is the fairness in it!
@ Irish rebel reborn. I had the impression that you wanted labour ideals. Like democracy and rule by the people, as opposed to rule of an oppressive mercantile class.
For wanting the rule of the people you are surprisingly uninterested in the concept of democracy, at least when things do not go your way.
But then again, your post was perhaps just a flaming/trolling.
I write that in a negative sense since it is obvious it is not helping. Comments like this only makes the divide in eIreland larger.
Oh, and if anyone bothers to respond to this comment, please abstain from pointless of topic comments. They are utterly boring.
@twitty What happened was not entirely smooth and fair. But I would like to point out that John had the political sense to compromise. I guess that is the reason he has not been seriously opposed.
I think John does a good job listening to more than one group of people. A president should lead the whole country and work for consensus and lessen the divides. John at least tries to do that.
Hat off for that.
Unity is the way.....
Thanks for that input.
"-Everytime I contact Jacques Cousteau about Immigration he says everything is fine, so one can deduce that this Ministry is coming along ideally."
Or he could be doing absolutely nothing.
Lol Kavrocks
Good stuff
our companies are back so the economy will recover slowly
@ Chris : I'm sure all two of the TDs (I'm told) who voted to remove OJ will be deeply offended at being referred to as ladyparts 😉
Gratz to Boris! o7
@JohnG - Pet if you let them keep my home region you let them keep me, and if the Brits start RWs to be annoying I'll be sick to my stomach when I fight on their side. 😛
