Dearest people of Belgium! I would hereby like to inform you that as of now I will henceforth serve as the Canadian ambassador to your country, which I consider to be a great honour. Aside from German (although Eupen-Malmedy does not even exist in eR...) and English I can speak just a little but at least understand the French and Dutch languages, and therefore I will be able to read and partially answer questions in your native tongue should anyone prefer this.

Belgium has recently been going through harsh times and with curiosity I have observed the recent events since the battle of Flanders. The Canadian government harbours great sympathy for your country and will support the will of its people and its three regions' independence. I am well aware of the partial resentment of the breakup of the union with the Netherlands however, but nonetheless wish your nation the most favourable future and a swift establishment of a stable, native Belgian government; whether or not it may be under the protection of Romanian peacekeepers.

Lastly, would anyone be so kind as to show the the direction in which the official Belgian forum and IRC channel lie? The link on the wiki page seems to be outdated...

Lieve volk van België! Ik ben de nieuwe ambassadeur van Canada en het is een groote eer for mij. Ik kan Duits en Engels spreken en ik kan Nederlands en Frans verstaan, maar ik moet ze meer leren om ze te kunnen schrijven. Maar het zal genoeg zijn om je vragen te kunnen lezen.

België heeft harde tijden gehebt en ik heb zijn historie nagestreefd sinds het bevrijding van Vlaanderen. Canada heeft grote sympathieën voor je natie en zal gerespecteeren het wil van zijn volk en zijn vrijheid. Ik weet dat sommigen van jullie zijn niet te gelukkig met het vertrek van Nederland maar ik wens dat de toekomst van jouw land zal zijn glanzend. Met het Roemeense vredessoldaten of zonder hem.

Des cher peuple belge! Je suis le nouveau ambassadeur de Canada, et c'est un grande honneur que j'ai cette position. Je peux parler allemand et anglais et je peux comprendre français et hollandais, mais je ne suis pas ce bon à les ecrire. Mais si vous avez des questions vous le pouvez me poser en français et je les vais comprendre.

La Belgique a eu des temps difficiles et j'ai observé son histoire depuis la libération de la Flandre. La gouvernement de la Canada a des grande sympathies pour votre nation et va soutenir la volonté de votre peuple et la souveraineté des trois regions belge. Je sais que il y a des Belges qui ne sont pas content avec la separation de les Pays-Bas, mais j'espère que la Belgique va avoir un avenir glorieux. Avec ou sans des soldats de la paix roumain.
