I have followed the debate in #eUNL as well as a few articles and posts on whether or not the United Netherlands should stay in PEACE GC or not. Fears of uncontrolled invasions at the loss of PEACE's protection were brought up, and many seem to fear what might befall your country if you were to leave the alliance. As the Canadian ambassador to the Belgian people (and thus to a certain extent their Dutch brothers as well) I would like to state that Canada is reaching out to you, and should you decide to take Her hand She will warmly welcome you as a friend.
Let me make it clear that this article is not intended to be any of this sickening bicker between alliances. I have no interest in spreading childish paroles boiling down to "PEACE IS EVIL LEAVE THEM AND JOIN US BECAUSE WE'RE BETTER", and Canada will respect the decision of the United Netherlands whichever path you might choose.
I can imagine that the current situation in Belgium is understandably staining your opinion of countries outside of PEACE, but nonetheless be aware that Canada has long been known to value and to care for Her friends regardless of what alliances they may or may not be a part of, and that She is open to embrace wandering nations seeking a companion in this rough virtual world.

Yeah, I know this title is... flawed. I would have used "reaches out to you" but this would sound as though Canada was trying to forcefully drag the UNL out of anything. 🙁
One thing. Please don't connect to us through pictures of Utrecht, Google translated messages in Dutch, or the Dutch flag. Firstly you are in the eUNL, the Peaceful merger of eBelgium and eNetherlands and these elements are all Dutch (Aside from the language, which also could be Flemish). Secondly, I just don't see what you using our culture is going to achieve.
With that said, I think there is nothing wrong with a friendship between our countries. Just as eCanada doesn't seem like the most orthodox EDEN country, so is PEACE's power in Netherlands not absolute. I think with us being in a crumbling alliance it's a good thing to have some allies all over the world, and I grew to like the eCanadian community during my stay in eCanada a few months ago. 🙂 If this would be an equal and fair friendship, I'd say we seriously consider this proposal.
Utrecht? That's a photo I took in Ghent. Plus I would never rely on Google Translation for anything but single words I am too lazy to look up in a physical dictionary, whenever I write something in broken Dutch it's my own measly mastery of the language.

I remember the times we had two trading agreements... One with France, which is now one of our closest allies, and one with Canada.
If it would come to a voting, I would be one of the last to disagree with a co-operation with Canada. You've never done us wrong, even though you side with our enemy.
