Bread & Circus? #2 (Old Archive)

I may not have been in eUSA for longer than a year. But it seems clear to me there are some strange fluctuations in supply, demand and pricing.
Exihibit A: During the late stages of the eUS VS ePoland war (Back when Florida was our capital and the president was still fighting.) bread prices remained at a low of 0.06 to 0.08 while this might have been government attempts at price control with the economy as it was then (and at its strange slow recovery now.) I think we should put that under scrutiny.
Exihibit B: After the wars end with a *near* bloodless fight from the treaty allowing us control over most of our land and resources the prices of raw food and weapon materials dropped quite quickly. While at the same time previous bread prices rose from 0.09 to 0.11 this however would likely be expected after such a large war.
Exihibit C: Even after over a month after gaining nearly all our territory (especially since determination) quality 1 basic bread prices have soared up to 0.16 and their only climbing and climbing. While strangely raw material prices keep dropping and were only gaining more strategic resources.
So the question is.
Whats happening to our supply & demand situation?
Is our supply getting smaller? Or is the demand simply rising due to war? Or is there a third reason for this price shift?
My recommendation? Scrutiny my dear boy.

Scrutiny is never a bad idea.
I blame it on the new medal. If every players gets an extra 5 gold every few days prices will how up. But as the medal gets harder prices will drop. And the extra regen. Along with the bonus damage. If we changed gravity our real life world would change.
I dont see how the extra gold would effect regular money prices for an item like bread.
Are you suggesting the same people who manufacture bread are buying up to much gold and need to raise the prices to pick up the slack?
Or that the fluctuation of gold in general is effecting fiat currencies?
I think people are fighting more right now trying to scoop up the medals. As that gets harder, it'll slow back down, but I have a feeling that accounts for at least a portion of the higher than expected demand and subsequently higher prices.
yep manufacturers buying gold to give cash to fighters to buy the manufactures bread. gold prices is down to 202 means lots of people are selling gold, usually gold around 208.
well but then again it could be the countries buying gold, it doesn't have to be manufacturers, though i am buying 10 gold a day.
Basically everyone gets double health now, due to the weekly challenges.
see the thing with this is, i still get requests from lvl 50 players for more food and money. so i am pretty sure most players are not self sufficient at even the regulaer 10 energy per 6 min, so faster energy regen only allows the gold buyers to do more damage. unless the admins have increase the amount of money a average player can make from medals.
I personally make my money from selling rwm, i make around 6k rwm a day and buy the rest of the things i need.
