Hello People Of The South-West
So Who Am I?
I am Avlana Kiarunto, running for congress for the first time, in your region of the South West of England for the People's Communist Party.
This is the first time I am running for congress, but I do have experience in other parts of eRepublik.

I was eBorn on Day 686 in London. I quickly got to know the game and the eUK. Soon enough I was in the PCP, on the forums and IRC and in the Navy on my way to Heilongjiang. I spent a boring couple of weeks working in a Navy company in Brazil. After that I was determined not to go back so I got a promotion to the marines. Since then I have been in eDenmark, eSweden, back in Heilonjiang, Eastern Russia and for the past week or so in Eastern Siberia, with certain periods spent in the eUK in between each one. Adjacent to all this, I created a newspaper (this one in fact). At first it had no real use except being used to complain about anything and everything and trolling the Swedes, until I started a weekly analysis of political stats in the eUK. I had found my niche and now I have amassed over 160 subscribers, had two number one articles (and I believe 4 top 5 articles), including one that gained 247 votes (that was to do with the infamous Winston L.S. Churchill aka Ajay Bruno). But now, after around three months in the Navy, I have decided to return to the eUK and run for congress.
What Are My Policies?
Probably the most important thing, so here goes.
Economy
There isn't much to say about the economy. The economy is growing, food is cheap and pay is relatively high (no one isn't getting inadequate wage...as far as I know anyway), so my policy is mainly to keep that up. I mean, why not?
Since we are at war with several EDEN superpowers and other EDEN countries who border us, and as they (as I'm sure you know) keep attacking us, I believe a relatively (to previous months) large amount of tax revenue should go towards the MoD, but other departments such as the MoHA should not be neglected, since home is important.
Minimum wage should stay at 1 GBP. Taxes should not be too high, but neither should they be so low that the country collapses. Enough tax should be taken in to run the country (especially in these present conditions of fighting EDEN 24/7) but not so much that it robs from the people.
Foreign Affairs
Ties with PHOENIX countries should be strengthened to fight off the EDEN offensive, as we are doing pretty well now with immense walls of millions of points. We should of course fight to preserve all eUK regions, but if it comes to it, London is priority. If we fight off the offensives, we should work to liberate France and Germany. Royal Navy recruitment is important. Let's invade Ireland! I kid
Social/Home Affairs
The eUK is overdue for a babyboom, so we must work towards that. I will try to improve and expand the communes run by the PCP. These communes pay in food, and after a whlie of working there, even free houses. They will also provide free weapons for important battles, gifting if needed and other items under request. I recommend you to check them out.
Everyone is going on about London, but what of the South-West and it's glorious riches of grain, it's 5Q Hospital and Q3 Defence System?

Of course London is important, but other regions should not be neglected, and since the South West has valuable assets, that makes it pretty important.
I believe in freedom from control, and that the government should not intrude in people's eLives beyond necessity, but neither do I believe in complete anarchy. Only what is required to keep the country running smoothly should be exercised on the public.
So to summarise myself.
1. 3 Months in the Navy
2. Once in the Top 40 newspapers in the UK (until the German and Belgium influx), two #1 articles and 160+ subscribers
3. Active on IRC and Forums
4. Running under the PCP banner
5. Army is crucial at this time
6. Limited governmental intrusion into people's lives
7. All regions in the eUK are important
8. Keep strong ties with PHOENIX

We have 3 people from the PCP running in London, which is the maximum per region. I was the one that had to go somewhere else, much to my disappointment...
