Epic Thoughts
This article will be published in America, Brazil, and Indonesia.
There are some terrible things I've heard lately, my friends. Whispers and hopeful rumors about 'freedom' and regaining lost territories. Those who would have us believe that our struggle could be over in weeks, as opposed to months, tell us that we may be able to reach an agreement with PEACE, with Indonesia and Brazil, and that we only have to make a small amount of concessions in order to regain our lost regions.
These people will be remembered as our enemies, and, if they get what they wish, they will be remembered as the greatest traitors of The Resistance.
There are those, who were once among our leaders, that want to make agreements with both Indonesia and Brazil, that in return for two or three regions, none of which will have any serious resources, South Africa will become a state, bound by MPPs and a series of pact, that will render our nation to absolutely nothing more than a slave state.
These people are hours, if not days, from selling us out.
I am an outsider among many of you. I have little in the way of wealth. I have nothing to offer any of you who might hear me now.
But the decisions being made by those we have chosen to be our leaders will be our undoing if they are allowed to continue down the paths they have so eagerly already decided on. A resistance is never a short term affair. There is no easy way out of this. There is no quick fix, and there is nothing to be done that can expedite an end to our exile. Ours' is to be a trail of endurance. Of patience. And of righteousness.
If you are reading this, you are The Resistance.

Do you know anything about any negotiations? Do you know anything about what we're doing?
The answer is: No, not really.
Do not divide the populace unnecessarily with rumours. I have always respected you, ET, and I hope I can continue to do so in future.
It's always a threat; but the response is simple - assure your leaders that you'll fight to the last.
Whether they do or not.
A negotiated settlement with eBrazil should be built around the knowledge that eSA diamond mines can currently buy cheap export licenses to eBrazil. Once eSA if free, you will be able to supply their diamond needs.
I've been advised not to talk about the negotiations until we have a firm offer from Brazil/Indonesia. Once that happens I will start a citizen referendum so everyone can vote on the matter.
I don't know where ET is getting his info from but SAIL's proposal to Brazil is not for two or three regions without any resources. And there will not be any MPPs.
When the time comes, everyone will have a chance to speak and be heard but just like RL negotiations, you don't publically post everything being discussed until you have something in hand.
I really did expect better from ET on this matter. If he has any concerns, he is welcome to PM me anytime but to spread rumours and misinformation saddens me.

Please GUN 🙂
There is very little wrong with debating issues. While it might not be necessarily convenient for those in power or those busy with negotiations, it is better to have people like ET saying inconvenient things than to have a society where there is public silence.
In the end it comes down to what wold you would like to live in. Personally I would prefer a place where freedom of thought and expression is championed.
Yes, that may have the side effect of allowing for rumors and speculation and yes it might make things politically difficult sometimes and may even cause division. But the other type of society is a horror far worse than any PTO can ever be.
Lin, please don't distort my comment. All I was saying is that what ET is saying is not currently being dicussed with Brazil or Indonesia. If he wanted to promote freedom of thought and expression he might have avoided doing it in such a hostile manner. Calling me a traitor and enemy? Wouldn't you be concerned if someone said that about you while you were doing your best to free eSA? If everyone can just be civil with each other within our own ranks it would help things along.
Ines. You are right about civil debate. On that point I stand corrected.
From a style point of view, it might have been overly harsh.
If I were on the receiving end I would probably be put out as well.
Having said that:
As a polemic, the article is thought provoking however.
And therein lies its virtue. (From this reader's point of view.)
As far as invective goes... The political arena is seldom without it share of verbal sparring
Gladstone said to Disraeli:
'I predict, Sir, that you will die either by hanging or of some vile disease'.
Disraeli: 'That all depends, sir, upon whether I embrace your principles or your mistress.'
Definitely, it's good we have this kind of debate going. If anyone wants to send me any suggestions as to how you think the negotiations need to go down, please don't hesistate to PM or add me on MSN. Schums@live.co.za. I don't bite 😃
Blfah blfah blfah...
We at Free Africa have frankly had enough of BLF, for many reasons; all of which can be explained and illustrated with examples.
Epic is dedicated to South Africa and more experienced than most in the matter at hand; and Free Africa will appreciate and discuss his ideas (if and when he joins the forum) so that he can help us plan the liberation of eSA
