Hello, some handy information:
1. The party i'm in isn't an EDEN party
2. I'm actually from the BRP (= Belgian Revolutionary party) who's still in UK
3. We're trying to get Belgium a Free and Neutral country!
4. The party leader of the party where i'm in now is trying to help us getting good connections with EDEN so we won't be attacked by them and so we can be a neutral station

How do you know that the owner of EDEN media group newspaper will not put EDENs interests before that of Belgium (like the last two times EDEN citizens PTOed Belgium)?

And Wout : you may be from the BRP, a party we know. But explain how your PP is a Romanian with a newspaper called "EDEN MEDIA GROUP" and that is stating that : "Brussels, the RL capital of EU is now a part of EDEN after a great fight where Croat, Greek. Swiss and Romanian tanks liberated the region."

I don't believe BRP is in favour of joining EDEN. So, you say that he's helping you to get good relations with EDEN... Lol, he's playing you ! Or prove it.

Also, shouldn't Belgium consider joining Phoenix seeing as they have voted to merge with phoenix countries twice, are naturally surrounded by Phoenix and their allies and have had nothing but bad experiences with EDEN citizens?

I guess you have a point - though the UNL is 'in the middle of Spain' too. However, as there are so few (if any) Belgians in Belgium, if Spain were to attack and conquer Belgium, then it would have cost them more than if they had just conquered it from the UK the normal way, due to the expensive price of declaring war on a smaller country (ie joining Phoenix and being conquered is better than being PTOed by EDEN)

@daniecox: you may probably know as you are level 20 that this "liberation" was not supported by Spain... you should know why.

You are an Eden guy, If you are elected, you will do the same as the Group : Rob money from Belgian and make MPP with Romania, Poland, or another Eden force. You want Belgium to make a colony.
Ask to your Eden friends to liberate Germany and France !!

@Kraven: I will not be on the election list. With who you will sign MPP is the job of the future Congress & President.

I think under "good relations with EDEN" Wout meant an agreement with EDEN not to take over eBelgium, since it doesn't form a threat to that alliance. As a sign of goodwill, eSpain allowed to start a RW in Flanders, not without lobbying by unualibro, if I understand it correctly. Up till now unualibro was the only one clearly and openly sharing his plans with the original population, and him promoting eBelgians to run for Congress in his party could be interpreted as a sign of good faith. A critical stance should remain towards the foreign 'liberator', but at the same time criticism alone won't help this nation much further. Under the circumstances, a constructive dialogue could be of more benefit for eBelgium than unnuanced fingerpointing. If the "liberators" are playing us and areactually here to rob and to enslave, than your words probably won't do much to stop them. If they are of good faith, then it will be a step forward towards a truelly free and eventually neutral eBelgium. Doing nothing will lead to nothing, trying to make a difference gives a chance, however small, to succeed. I feel we need to take this chance.

As of Wout's article, it dates from months ago, when he just started playing the game and was still finding his way around. He may have made some mistakes in the beginning, but he has learned and grown since, and I have no reason to doubt about his honesty and commitment to the best interests of eBelgium.

I think all reasonable people see that there should not be a "EDENparty" or "Phoenixparty".

Belgium needs neutrality. I think with the current changes, you can see NDF no longer as an EDENparty. And "antiEDENpto-parties"... come on.
I want to stand for congress as pro something. And something is Belgium.
We can only do this united.

All those who say the PP of the National Democratic Front is a romanian should look again. I may not have been on eRepublic long enough to have seen the famous PTO but I also was sceptical when belgium was 'liberated'.
Untill now unualibro and others have kept their word and are handing over the control of eBelgium to the eBelgians again so they are gaining my trust.
The fate that I fear more then a takeover from eden however, is a merge with eNetherlands.

That would not only mean the ending of eBelgium, but also of eNetherlands.

Flanders has been handed over by Spain in good faith, for a neutral Belgium. Not to get ripped up again in alliance-fights.

Belgium should remain neutral until the newly elected Congress decides to favor a superalliance or not.
