Announcing creation of the Federal Ministry of the Interior + Defense Debate

In order to better carry out public projects and appropriations, I have created a new SO account- Bundesministerium des Inneren. This account will be in charge of handling government subsidizations of needed industry and the government-held defense industry.
As the first order of business, I propose Congress donates all Swedish currency in the treasury to this SO to be converted into gold. I will personally donate 319 gold to the account, and combined, both sources of gold will pay for a Q5 defense industry. Paying for operational costs will come from the German treasury, and once a system is completed, it will be sold back to Germany for 1 DM. This way, Germany can quickly and effectively establish Q5 defense systems in each of its regions, becoming one of the most secure nations in Erepublik. However, this Org will not only be for defense- it will handle any and all government appropriations to private citizens/organizations. It's just set up as a matter of simplification.
A lot of this hinges on whether or not the admins will give Germany its 100,000 DM starting loan like they did with other nations. But this article can be used for Congressional debate. The question is- Is this plan acceptable? If not, what other ways would you prefer this be carried out, if at all?

you forget that Deutschland AG have a Q5 Weapons Company and there are selling in Germany ! The price will be change after the economy is in Germany stronger! And the Other Reason is, Bundesministerium für VERTEIDIGUNG is for Defense not BMI! Bundesministerium des Innern, safe the Police and Special Police troops in Germany, also the federal agencies, like BundesKriminalamt BKA (the German FBI).
We can't have too many ministries, this isn't like real Germany with millions of citizens and complex government; keeping it simple and all under 1 authority is best. And Don't worry about the weapons company! This is for DEFENSE INDUSTRIES, not weapons! All that will be owned by this org is a defense company, that's it. Also, we can give money to upstart companies like hospitals to help get them established.

And if not for the defense industry- what do you propose we use this gold for? I personally am not sure on what to use that 300+ gold for, should it be used to free more German regions? Hospitals? What?

but in the moment we haven't any much money, it will be better if we use 50 or 100 gold for printing new issues to start up companies with dem. there are enough companies and gold from the or owners that is not the problem we need dem, for paying salaries. Also at the moment it is a fault to waste gold for defense solutions. We are in the starter Position now. i meand with the Weapons Company only that we have got High Tech. And if any country want to attack us, we can use this Weapons. I suggest that I am give it to the soldiers, if we stand for an invade. Also many of the Swedish will protect us for other invaders because they gave us the freedom ! Have to wait, and safe this money or Gold. we should first exchange the money to gold ! and waiting for the president election ...
If not to spend, the money should at least be converted into gold for use in the future.
i don't know if the defenses are the real priorities in this moment, can we focus on taxes, unemployment, and diplomacy???
I think that the BMI it's a necessary OS, but, how many we'll have?. We need a plan, and maybe a forum to expose these ideas and then in the month of this congress, set up the bases of something stable
Taxes, unemployment, and diplomacy have already been addressed. Some might have been discussed in private among German leaders- but they've been addressed.
Sorry, but I don't think that the defense system is a high priority right now. Let's spend the money another way 🙂

I support this, if only for the fact that it will help to give budding German business owners the chance to start a business and meet an extremely high need for not only jobs, but supply as well. Defense systems and Hospitals should be among some of the more important things to be taken care of first. That should create more then enough jobs to help get the economy back on its feet, from there business owners can move on to other ventures.
hmm i really think there are more important issues right now. And I don't support founding of strange minstries before having a whole plan of how to handle the country in future. First this has to be done. Afterwards we can build up defenses. there is so real danger for germany right now... So my no
Keep on the right track!! Germany is kind of skint when it comes to Gold and money and we really need to drastically improve our economy. From what i am seeing there has been good progress, but more needs to be done to ensure a flowing and efficient germany.

We're already seeing falling food prices, what else needs to be addressed? There's all this talk about "more important issues", but what issues are there? We can solve unemployment by starting up a govt-ran defense system, then what "issues" are there? Unless you want the government to start up some q1 food companies to both provide cheap food and cheap labor, but most people are against that.
Actually, unemployment is a non-issue. There's PLENTY of 0 skill jobs on human resources. There are literally no other issues congress can address right now. What do you want us to do?
Converted the SEK into gold for a total of 83 gold. This Org now possesses 383 gold.
I thought better and I think it's a good decision, for now.
And Justin, I agree with you that the government should start some companies to put Germany on the right track.
But I don't see the point of founding ministries without speaking about thw whole of organisation. Before we start to open those ministries we should speak about them. that's what I mean.
