An Early Farewell

Day 253, 20:30 Published in Czech Republic Czech Republic by Ivan Hat

Greetings Czech Republic. As you all should know by now I am Ivan Hat. I am your vice president, prime minister, and congressman. I am also a former mayor of Prague. I come to you today to say my goodbyes. I am leaving this country at the start of next month when my congressional abilities end.

I have lost faith in this nation the same way I had lost faith in my homeland of Pakistan. There are too many foreign powers at play here as well as a strong ignorance that I cannot seem to break.

I came here because the country was one of the worse off in all of Erepublik, and I leave you with it significantly better off. I have aided two presidents since I arrived here as well as being a foreign minister to help keep the peace with our neighbors. Unfortunately my dreams of leading you have been squashed time and time again by the powers that be. This latest one was the last slap in the face that I could endure.

I do not agree with this country's president on foreign issues, I do not agree on the extreme religious right we have been going to, and I do not like his ignorance on how political machines work. Vaclav has brought us to new heights only on the domestic front by uniting us as well as raising our economy. But I leave you all with a warning, if we do not open our hearts and minds to others than we will be assimilated by the stronger nations. I believe this is the inevitable fate at hand. We may protect ourselves from coups and foreign political take-overs but we are one of the weakest and smallest nations around.

Respect your neighbors and the new citizens of your country. I hope to speak with several of you again in the future. And if any of you would like to follow me to new lands then please give me a pm and we'll talk things over.

Thank you and goodbye.
