A Question of WA

It was while me and Corny-ratbag where talking that we came upon the subject of WA. As we all know the Indonesians currently occupy it and it is a High level region one of the main reasons the have kept it. And unless I'm wrong in which case correct me I've been absent for a while now, the Indo's have said that it may take a while to release it, however surely with half of America at the Indo's feet including California plus all the gold America has to pay to regain it's regions (10,000 Gold) they don't need to hang onto WA, I mean they occupy a lot of High regions now California just one of them surely returning WA to us won't harm them. Would it?

It's not just about the resources in that region. It also offers an element of strategic value given it is a pathway across to Africa.
In addition, the issue is also as much about whether we could sustain the region, and afford the over 300 companies we need to purchase in order to secure it's return.
So, there's a few factors outside of the fact they have California and most of eUSA in the bag, so to speak.
Having said all that, we have been having good discussions with them over the WA issue 🙂
@Ranger Bob-you raise a point that I have been wondering about. Within a couple of weeks I will be in position to buy a company, and was considering buying one of the W.A. Q1 diamond companies on the market in anticipation of the eventual return. O.K. so I'm new...your thoughts please. Anyone?...
@Biggus - Thats a good move for helping the release of WA
@Biggus- Use GM Records first and work out whether you can ensure the company can be profitable for you (which in all likelihood it should 😃)
Buying companies in WA is the quickest way we'll see WA returned to Aus!!
I believe the concensus about WA is that it is a region we cannot afford. There is the economic concern. It may have a lot of resources but nothing we don't already have, except for Oil and that's only medium. It has far too many companies we would have to purchase from the Indonesians. This is simply an unjustifiable expense unless we suddenly come up with something of the order of 3,000 new workers. That's some big baby boom! Everyone, get busy! I don't see this happening any time soon.
Our Gold is better spent on improving our military. There will come a day when EDEN, Spain, and Romania will be no more. When no one is left to oppose PEACE, those super powers will turn on eachother for no other reason than the keep the game interesting. Brazil may challenge Indonesia's supremacy. Brazil will want to do this by striking Indonesia in their backyard by way of South Africa to WA. Let us not stand in the way of these two goliaths.

Aye I was aware of the amount of money we need to pay out the companies we will be buying as well as the population issue, but surley many indo's will stay behind in WA to continue running their buisnesses?
maybe, but I know being a business owner I would rather contribute to my countries economy rather than anothers
Maybe we should encourge through adds and article's that people buy companies in WA.
