A Long Journey
Colin Fox
Hello all, it's been a couple months since I've logged on. There is an explanation for my disappearance but no excuse for my abrupt inactivity. To fill you all in - I was in the transition of moving. For those who were aware I lived in Minnesota (USA) and moved to Washington (USA), the state not DC! Yes, the land where marijuana is LEGAL 😉
haha
But also a place full of hard lefties and since my arrival I've been working closely with Socialist Alternative, participated in various protests and direct action, and have been busy helping campaign for increasing the minimum wage. I've also gone to 8 concerts in the past month since I've lived here. My education consists of rigorous study of political economy and understanding capitalism from a multi/interdisciplinary approach. I only have a year and a half left until I get my Bachelor's in International Political Economy and my double in Environmental Economics. Needless to say, I've been incredibly busy with real life and have never felt so fulfilled.
Also, in case you were wondering, me and that woman I may have mentioned on here have been together for 3 months and although we are long distance I believe I have found what some would call "the one". With my political, academic, social, and love life being fulfilled...naturally that resulted in ignoring eRepublik. I felt it wasn't fair to eIreland or the ILP as you guys have been my friends and eIreland my home since July 2010.
With this said - I want to maintain my presence in eIreland. You guys have been like family, through thick and thin (shitstorms and victories) we've struggled together as one eIrish people. I will do what I can to help ensure that the dream of e-socialism does not die and a free eIreland is achieved.
Anyways, good to be back, don't expect me to lead the revolution though. The torch has been passed.

Welcome back!
My condolences on the Scottish referendum, British ***** scaremongering ;_:
America has a left wing? Welcome back, comrade.
We're gathering in Washington. The socialist/communist/anarchist wing of the U.S. resides in Washington state. We've elected a socialist mayor in Seattle and we're filling up city councils. We're making a stronghold in the northwest.
The Socialist Republic of Cascadia XD
Watch out for them WOLVERINES.
Nice. I always thought that socialism was a swear word in the US, esp when you look at some of the so-called left wing presidents.
Yeah Liam the actual left, is up in the North West. California liberals are about as moronic as Texan conservatives.
What revolution did you ever lead here?
You talk a lot about revolutions and socialism but every time you had a chance to be part of anything closer ro revolution you not only declined but actually joined the "elites" in attempt to stop them.
It could have been a counter revolution CF was involved in?
the only time he was remotely close to a revolution was when is was calling was civil war.
He did that coz his articles about some mushroom drugs got reported and deleted....
And that got him very angry coz after his first article about that drug got him good amount of votes he decide to milk that popularity with endless number of articles of same subject.
Report and deletion prevented him to pursue that plan...
Oh yes..and one time when he won PP for EA he changed the title and avatar of that party with his image and name....
ALso he did once asked for golds to fund some new revolution or something....and then he did nothing....and instead to return golds he said he used it for ireland by buying wepps and use it in some battle.
Not even an R of revolutionary when it comes to him.
Just like this current pto ilp leadership...all he cares are congress seats and cheap positions in any of government.
Sucking up to establishment and so called elites...instead defying them....like Clerics do...
Welcome back!
Glad to hear things are going good in your life, Welcome back.
Welcome back friend. I envy you. Should I ever leave this state, I'm headed for the North West. Probably Portland or Seattle. o/
Although not a socialist utopia, it certainly is 1000x better than anywhere else in the US I've traveled to.
hey nice to see you around 🙂
Welcome back o/
Welcome back!
Welcome back Comrade...and what Conway said on the Scottish referendum 🙁
I'm delighted about the referendum. Independence is more of a fad with the Scots, they don't take it seriously otherwise they would of invested time & research into giving reassurances of what a free Scottish economy would of looked like.
