A Break From Seriousness

The news in eTurkey has been kind of serious as of late. There have been very few personal interest type stories published. So, today, "A Timely Bitch" is taking a break from reporting serious news to give you an AmeriTurk family update.

Congress
The most obvious piece of news is that tek and I were both elected to congress in the October 1st elections. As far as we know, this makes us the first married Turkish couple to serve in congress together. We will do everything in our power to unite eTurkey.

Wedding Gifts
Some of you may wonder "what did you end up getting for your wedding?" Well, today, I was finally able to take everything that was donated and mix it together with donations and savings to get a beautiful Q4 house to raise my cute little AmeriTurk babies in. It was my darling tek's idea : ) Nothing but the safest environment for the multi-ethnic, future leaders of this great nation! So, thank you to all (and an extra special thanks to Ruz...who gave me the last little bit that I needed) for your generous donations! They went to good use.

Babies
I'm sure the nation is wondering "when can we expect some cute little AmeriTurk babies???" Well, as you may have expected, on our beautiful Mediterranean honeymoon, we had plenty of inspiration and opportunity to conceive. I just went to the doctor for a check-up, and alas, my tek and I are going to be parents! As it is early in conception (we were only married 2.5 weeks ago), it is uncertain as to how many babies we will be expecting. We will give you an update on that at a later time.

A Romantic Dance
In celebration of the love and diversity eTurkey brings to us, I must continue to dance. This one goes out to all of the lovers...
