eSouth-Africans A Carefree People!
ZironiaInc
Why do I say this?Well,it seems that eS.A citizens have no problems at all.
Except for a few who complained about the lack of food and gifts on the market,no one really gets worked up about this.Do our citizens get their daily necessities from abroad? If so general attitude towards this problem is understandable.
On the other hand, how can anyone expect the masses to be active when we have ministries that have had no activity whatsoever?I am talking about the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by Deus Ex.Apparently nothing is going on abroad, there is no world war happening and we won't be faced with a choice as to who our allies are.But then again, maybe that is not the business of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, maybe this ministry keeps a close eye on the affairs people abroad are having.Who knows? Not us that's for sure.
Another ministry that has done nothing yet is the Ministry of Health. Then again, who needs it?I must also confess that I have no idea who Ethaya(our minister in this area for those of you who are wondering) is,she hasn't been active on the forums and as far as I know she doesn't have any plan for our health system.
Another ghostly figure on our political stage is our very own president who,I'm sorry to say, hasn't done much since his election,or,if he has he didn't tell us he did it.
Unfortunately, this is the situation we're in.So I urge all citizens to become more active in public life.State your opinions, yell about them, annoy everyone with them. But for Pete's sake DO SOMETHING!
Here's the link to the forum, which I urge you to at least visit,if not join.

We have chosen neutrality in the war long ago, so our diamonds can sell everywhere.
As for health... that is a bit worrying.
South Africa is not care-free.
Daily we work as hard as we can to keep our economy from crubling. Those of you who are new and have just arrived see little of what has happened over our history. We face grave dangers every day, and those who say otherwise should be shunned.
Ministries are a joke, they have never worked in the past, and they never will. The only truly active ministry is in the military department, with a little in the economic to get us by.
The article was not about neutrality(even though it was mentioned) and it was not about working either.
It was about citizens expressing their opinion.
Hiershmont,I really have great respect for you,but neutrality means having support from all sides, whereas we have the support of neither.
Ryan,I respect you as a person but your political views will get us all into trouble🙂
Not necessarily. Neutrality can also mean that you don't take a side, are cordial to both, and essentially sit on the fence (hoping not to be get hit in the crossfire).
It's even better when you state your opinions as your opinions, instead of hiding behind an organization mask.
Being "carefree" and "expressing your opinion" have nothing at all to do with each other. Expressing one's opinions, especially in a newspaper, is a pasttime that can only be achieved by those people who have the freedom to do so, who are well off. After all, politics is a profession of the wealth and well-to-do, and is built entirely around the expression of one's views.
On a similar note, those of the carefree variety really have nothing more to do than formulate opinions, and are so self absorbed in their own dilusional fantasies that they cannot help but express them. What makes them so carefree is the fact that expressing one's opinions and giving a damn about their outcomes or what the might mean are two seperate things. Being carefree simply means that, while you may have so many opinions and love to express them, you don't worry enough about them to be moved to any form of action.
"Carefree" does not mean one is so happy and contented with their existence...while one certainly can be, and be carefree, one can be just as carefree being a lazy, good for nothing, uncontributive, discontented slob.
On the otherhand, those who are so embroiled in their own affairs, who are too busy trying to scrape together a living to be bothered with expressing their opinions...their lack of voice does not speak as a lack of opinion. They simply do not have the time to devote to something so unnecessary as expressing opinions.
Furthermore, your definition of neutrality is laughable. Neutrality, in it's truest sense of the word, means not picking a side. We do not have any friends, and we do not have any enemies. We align with neither PEACE nor ATLANTIS. We trade with everybody, and allow trade from anybody. We are, in every sense of the word, neutral.
@Ziron
The thing we are facing here cannot be dealt easily. As our country falls into despair, which I am telling you it could in a week if we did the right (or wrong) things to it, we must come up with ideas to combat this, and even put it out of misery.
And what say you of my political views? What is the matter with giving everyone the choice of their future?
@Lucien:I am not hiding,I merely forgot to sign the article.
Secondly,I admit that the term "carefree" was a poor choice and I didn't mean it in the literal sense. What I was trying to point out was that most people don't really care for what's happening around eS.A,or that if they are, they keep their opinions to themselves.
Well.if the ones that are "too busy trying to scrape together a living to be bothered with expressing their opinions" don't share their trouble with the rest of us,how will we know they are facing any issues at all?I'm not saying that every citizen should own a newspaper, that would turn our media into "Blog Daily" or something, yet joining the forum costs nothing.
Finally, the neutrality you propose is great, but, you see,we have enemies,or potential enemies. What would stop any of the Superpowers of the eWorld to wage a short war against us if they decide that they shouldn't share our diamonds with their enemies?
Yours truly,
Siroe
Our largest threat is Indonesia, no other nation poses itself as a potential enemy to us more. Indonesia will not be attacking us because they are to concerned with the war with America and Argentina to even think about another war with South Africa. A war with South Africa would meen two enemies on the same front, and then they might even lose their colonies of africa.
Sorry for double comment.
And to say that we should all 'join the forum' is irrelevent. First of all, a good 44 people are in the forum, and some of us (Ryan Dagari) are on second on the top posters list 😛
I wouldnt mind if the 44 people would stop sitting around on there arse and not say anything in response to our discussions, but you have to understand a lot of people here do not want to be bothered with politics, that is why direct democracy isn't being accepted 🙂
While the biggest thorn in our buttcheeks is,for the time being,Indonesia. And while it is true that they couldn't act against us in the current state of affairs. This does not lessen the risk of them jumping on us as soon as they recover from this world-war.
As it has been said before, even if Atlantis comes to the rescue in the event of a Jap invasion, there is nothing to guarantee that they will allow us to recover our territories.
As for the forum issue;here you contradict me and tell me that 44 is a good number and afterwards you go ahead and write an article inviting people to join🙂.Congrats on being the 2nd in the top posters list by the way.😛
Besides, the forum has other sections too,not just politics.
I had 33% of the posts at 1 point in time ..... lol .
