[TH]o Congress: Learn about eRepublik economics before you change taxes
Thingol
I am referring to today's tax change for iron which passed congress at a huge majority. The new taxes encourage people to work in iron companies and even to create new iron companies in Thailand, whereas import of foreign iron is now taxed higher.
This is bullshit.
1. Thailand's iron companies will never be competitive as we do not have high resource areas.
2. The iron industry is one of the least profitable on a global scale. The only way to make profit with iron is to sell it overpriced to weapon companies with inexperienced managers who do not know how to purchase their iron abroad.
Really, we should not have iron companies (the same for stone, titanium, oil, and grain) in Thailand.
I fear that our current congress consists mainly of people who do not know enough about eRepublik economics to make sound decisions. This makes me sad. I don't want to watch Thailand's economy being fucked up. This is why I left the country. I will also temporarily close down the company I am managing.
I will be back in time before the next congress elections, and I hope that I get the chance to help to repair our economy then.

In regards to point number two, concerning purchasing iron abroad...
With the addition of V2, it is difficult (correct me if I'm wrong) to simply donate from an org raw materials purchased in another country, since there are only Q1 raws, and hundreds, if not thousands are consumed daily.
Thingol, those were INDO multies that voted. Not us. They want to ruin us!
@nicholas2000: Able managers use s_c_r_i_p_t_s like this:
users_c_r_i_p_t.org/s_c_r_i_p_t_s/show/81124
(you must remove all _ from the link, I had to write this funny way because erep removes the word s_c_r_i_p_t from every posting)
Thingol, I was well aware that they used s, I just didn't know that they had made the transition to V2 yet.
Anyways, I don't use s. Mostly because I'm mainly in the raw material business, and am not adept at using them.
thingol the xcript is wonderful
I buy all my grain thanks to it
BTW, I think that congreemamber dont care much about eThailand
iSupport.
The same with donations to central bank of thailand... It is proposed that 13k THB should be transfered to the bank and almost everybody votes NO.. WHY? WHY NO?
Because they are noobs and they don't understand what that means. That money after delivering it to the bank will be very important because president and his team want to use it to make MPP's with other countries, so YOUR thailand can be safe. If you bastards are so unexperienced and you dont understand this, ok, vote NO while you can and enjoy your time, because thailand will be deleted from the map if it doesn't sign MPP's with strong countries.
