Canadian Conduit - Issue #41
According to a certain top voted American article Canada is at the beck and call of America's back hand.
![](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_WMpSC7nK3os/SZDavzTk4kI/AAAAAAAADPk/hNh3VjauTzs/s400/bend+over+2.jpg)
The article states that "whatever decision the USA makes, the Canadians might also follow suit" because apparently we just sort of follow whatever the Americans do. Just like during the North American invasion when America was trying to bend over to PEACE and the Canadians naturally followed suit and touched their toes. Oh wait...maybe that's not exactly how it happened...
The article also suggested a killer alliance between Canada, America, South Africa and Australia, which would "possess almost half of the New World’s titanium (provided eSA reclaimed all of the relevant regions) and would certainly be a force to be reckoned with."
Yes, like a fat kid in gym class with a backpack full of chocolate bars and porn magazines, we would be an unstoppable behemoth! I can imagine our slogan already: We've got all the goodies, and nothing to protect them with!
![](http://www.stop-childhood-obesity.com/images/fat-kid12.jpg)
I hate to say it, but something tells me that all that titanium wouldn't be particularly safe when the entire alliance has about half the population of Poland alone.
Of course, the other logical solution is to turn British and go to PEACE...sorry PHOENIX. This sounds like an awfully good idea to the Americans, and if it sounds good to them it sounds great to us...apparently. According to the article, "if the USA joins Phoenix...then Canada would join as well, giving Phoenix hegemony over the whole Western Hemisphere."
Yes, there's nothing that brings me more hope and joy than the prospect of our former invaders walking into Canada and using our immense wealth to destroy the countries who helped put us back on the map. The UK told me that's what true friends do. I imagine that's probably the same reason France was so gosh-darn happy to see the Germans at their doorstep in World War II - they just missed having greasy overlords deciding their every move.

By no means am I anti-American. We have been perhaps the two strongest allies in the game (aside from the time the USA invaded us and got 1812'd of course) and I don't anticipate or hope that this will end any time soon.
But please, don't think you have the right to tell us what we are going to decide. Remember, when America was at the table deciding how many thousands of gold they were going to pay to surrender, we were booting PEACE off our blessed soil. Clearly we can take care of ourselves, thank you very much.
Canada is no UK.
We have dignity.
And we'll never join PHOENIX.
And if we do, so help me God I'm moving to Greece.
Yours truly,
Dade "VDP" Pendwyn

Voted, and I swear I know that kid!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Great read Dade. I agree.
Canada is better then to just follow the eUS around wherever they go. We can do our own thing.
No doubt this will stir up some heat. Nice pikturz Dade. I guess we know where you stand on that debate, too.
Your choice of article from Sutler is quite timely. Today marks the 2nd year anniversary of the CanAm War / War of Nave's Toe (11-26 of April, 200😎. America is a great Bro so we need to remember that it was not always that way and is not guaranteed to always be that way.
A reason why articles callings things out (as you have done) are necessary.
Wow...didn't even realize that this was the anniversary.
And ya...I realize I'm betraying my past with all the eye-candy picture. I suppose it's more of an experiment...or so I tell myself.
Great article. Canada is NOT America's hat; we don't go along with anything they do. But we do stand side-by-side with them and we do have their backs when it's the right thing to do. voted!
If Canada end up joining Phoenix because of the US, I'm leaving this country!
Never will I accept to join those that have backstabbed us, occupied us, and tried to take us over in election on so many occassion!
My only question is, where did you find that photo of me? I swore I burned them all LOL
Votado...Like Chucky, I will leave Canada if we join Phoenix. No WAY I am going to accept that under ANY circumstances.
You're taking Judean Princess's word as an America 'position'?
You've been gone a long time...
If we join Phoenix I will stay.
Just so i can be a thorn in the traitor's side and work to undermine him at every turn.
Don't worry, I'll write postcards from the edge.
😉
lol well we kinda do it in RL so I guessed they figured we would in erep too.
the man's article didnt say U.S would join Phoenix, he just said it would be wise, that being said U.S has always been atlantis/Eden. However the moment the U.S joins Phoenix is the moment i will go to spain to help destroy the U.S
@chucky norris...well ssaid
Voted and agreed. If this country goes Phoenix, I'm going Aussie.
"""whatever decision the USA makes, the Canadians might also follow suit""
We might. We might not. Overall, in both well voted articles and in comment threads I've found Americans to be very respectful of Canadian sovereignty, so let's not jump on them for saying we "might" do something. The "then Canada would join as well", I think the author is just laying out what they expect WE would CHOOSE to do, not bossing us around. After all the supportive, pro-Canadian sovereignty comments I've seen from americans in titanium discussion I feel the need to stick up for them here.
Further, the author's right. America's gotta do something, 'cause EDEN is rapidly becoming defunct as a force to stand up to Pheonix.
Are we America's hat? No, of course not. We should do what's best for Canada, and I think that's what the americans expect us to do. In this particular instance I think that it's in our best interests to stick with the States. (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/ogm-1-kane--1294049/1/20)
Even if we do wind up joining Phoenix, I don't intend to abandon Canada for greener and less fire-birdy fields. For good or ill, I am Canadian.
off-discussion topic: nicely written article. I don't really agree with _what_ your saying, but the delivery was great. Good balance of pictures and text, awesome sourcing, nice humour, and gooder english than we usually see.
v+s and cheers, Dade!
Congress would impeach any cp that aligned Canada with phoenix.
I do not believe that the US would go over to Phoenix.
TFD, she's clearly not America's voice, but the article is top rated...so obviously people agree with it.
I just vote everything.
If I read it - then it deserves a vote, whether I agreed with it or not.
I spoke with her on IRC.
She's a tool.
prolly a middle aged fat guy who uses the avatar of a girl in his building or something.
Ya I saw her on irc. She seemed off to me.
This article is very well written
"By no means am I anti-American."
Yes you are.
VOTED VOTED VOTED AND SUUUBBBED
I have a deep, seething rage for Penix and especially the UK. It annoyed me when some Americans tried to make nice with the United Faildom, it'll annoy me even more if they try and make nice with the PEACEniks.
Well, this article has convinced me...Let's join Phoenix before the Americans do.
lmfao <3 "U.K. Said thats what friends do"
"By no means am I anti-American."
Yes you are.
Oh ya that's right. I forgot that by you saying it, it must be true.
I can't even touch my toes! So therefor, I shall not follow suit.
"And if we do, so help me God I'm moving to Greece."
THIS.
@ original poster
You seem to be particularly ready to believe the worst of us Americans. It is pretty easy for an article to be top voted in the eUS if it is generally well though out, even if people don't agree with it. It is an interesting thing I like about the eUS media. People tend to support points of view in the media even if they don't agree. A perfect example is the hospital debate where articles on both sides of the debate got high votes if they were though out.
However, had you looked into the article a little more instead of taking it at face value, you would have noticed two things. First, the article's author isn't eAmerican but is eSingaporean. Second, the comments on the article lay out the general opinion of eAmerica quite obviously. The vast, vast majority of comments declare that we would never join Phoenix.
Common sense also shows the falsity in this article. The general populace of eAmerica did not expect nor pressure eCanada to leave EDEN with us but supported whatever decision eCanada made. Why would we not expect you to leave EDEN with us but would expect you too join Phoenix?
Also, if you have noticed the fun that Phoenix and EDEN trolls have had with our media lately, you would realize some hundreds of votes aren't that difficult for an article to get even if no American votes for them.
But This is the most important thing to say. the eUS would never join an alliance that opposes eCanada, nor expect it to just tag along. You are our bros.
usa lives in our basement suite lol
Not that im promoting a move to phoenix, but really, the idea of a "good guy" and "bad guy" are just are just player made constructs here. This is a social game and the best team to be on is the one with the better friends (be it stronger, or just plain more fun). If that team eventually turns out to be a different one than youre currently on, shrug. Most americans wernt nearly as annoyed with the UK ditching as they were with the false pretenses and propaganda used to justify it
Anyways whoever recently brought up the eUS going to phoenix as if its a viable possibility at the moment is an idiot who clearly has no clue whats going on.
If Canada joins Phoenix, I'll quit (well, maybe not, but I'll definitely move).
I'd much rather see my beloved country get completely taken over and dominated than to cower and give in to threats with my tail between my legs.
Hey Canadian Bros --
Let me just comment on this (as an American, though commenting from an org).
This person does not speak for us. I don't know who Judean Princess is. I've never heard of him/her. They speak for Judean Princess only. As a representative of the US Government towards Canada, we respect Canada's personal rights and sovereignty and also her right to decide whatever she chooses. As always, we will continue to discuss every issue with our Bros closely and continue to be in daily conduct with our bros.
Dating back to the days when Jacobi and I defended our countries during WWIII, America and Canada have held a special bond. I, for one, don't ever want that to end. There is no serious discussion, at any level of the government, for the US joining PHOENIX. If we did decide to join PHOENIX at some distant time in the future, it would only come after lengthy discussion with (and approval from, most likely) Canada.
The informed people running the government do not take Canada for granted. Please do not take the words of a few as the thoughts of the many. The quiet minions of America respect Canada, and if they don't, I will bash their skulls in until they do.
Signed,
Harrison Richardson
Former President of the United States, July 2009
Policy Adviser to the President
Caveat: Judean Princess hails from Singapore and has their citizenship, not American.
:3
That article definitely doesn't represent public opinion in the eUS.
We've already rejected a membership offer from Phoenix.
Plus, we <3 eCanada too much to try and force you guys into anything.
canadamaxx
i would go to spain if canada joins pheonix
I'm glad someone putted that person back to where she came from.
Never to Phoenix...NEVER
I'll move to Spain if Canada joins Phoenix.
BAM
Amazing article par usual Dade! Especially like the reference to Adam Sutler! 😃
It's her opinions and a basis for different options for the US to go for. Whether they choose them is entirely up to the US populations chosen government.
Canada was only mentioned as may be going with the US as both nations have a very in-depth history together. Now will the US joined Phoenix? I completely doubt it, but I think the article proposed it would be very deadly should they do so and was a perspective of numbers moreso than data.
Regardless, people vote for articles because they are well written. Or at least I do. Just because her article doesn't sit right with ya doesn't mean it's the views of eUSA. In otherwords, take a friggen chill pill mate 😛
