Project We Can Be Friends!!
Hello my fellow Portuguese, my name is frankypicoto and I'm the new eCanadian ambassador to ePortugal. In the beginning of this month I decided to take the job of ambassadorship to ePortugal because I finally have time to do so, when I realised that the level of activity on the ePortuguese forums wasn't enough to reach as many citizens as I could I immediately started thinking of other ways to reach as many citizens as possible. Irc. was a good solution and very friendly too, I could meet new people while doing my job as an ambassador. But I realised that there was a much bigger audience of citizens waiting to be included and that's the biggest audience in ePortugal. The Media.
My plan, or rather project, isn't complete but my goal is to reach a high level of trust and friendship with Portugal and its' inhabitants allowing our two countries to look through the enemy to find a friend. In my opinion we don't need to come apart just because we belong to different alliances. Maybe in real life, because lives are lost and hate is understandable but here, what is there more to pull us apart than an alliance? Of course, I'm not saying that we can be BFFs or that we can create an alliance like the Brolliance, I'm just describing my goal.
Wouldn't it be so interesting to get to know our so called enemies? I say this with great confidence in my idea because I have seen this with my own eyes. These few times that I have been in the Portuguese irc. channel I have been able to get to know people who have completely different views to mine, but our differences united us. I was able to have long and entertaining conversations with many people and I wish that all my fellow eCanadians could have the same opportunity.
Because of this I ask that my Portuguese friends invite my eCanadian friends to their irc. channel in an effort to unite friendships across the border. I ask that we eCanadians to the same.
