'Motive Fallacy' Crimes against Logic!

Here is Oraizans current hero James Whyte (main proponent of the 'Motive Fallacy' bandwagon) engaging in speculations about motives when discussing those whose beliefs or arguments he disagrees with. Kind of destroying his own argument in the process!

It is naive to believe that anyones opinion is completely objective and not influenced at all by their experiences or interests. Anyone who sets themselves above us lesser mortals by proclaiming that they are an entirely objective being claims that their supreme objectivity gives them the right to point at and judge others opinions as inferior is setting themelves up as a target for ridicule (in my humble opinion!)

the rules of logic fallacies are almost never useful in real arguments.
Technically, 'Arguing from authority' is a fallacy, ie saying that you're right because you are an expert on the topic, even if you ARE an expert, is a fallacy.
And yet listening to the opinions of experts is usually the BEST course of action in a discussion.
The end result is, 'fallacy' claims are only useful when you are trying to prove that a statement inductively to a degree of satisfaction equal to a deductive proof. But most arguments in the world can never be proved to even within a tiny percentage of deductive proof, and so attempting to do so is a waste of time.
I actually listened to that guy. He's the worst speaker ever. But, a lot of what he says holds merit.
James whyte actually wasn't the person who taught me about the ways to debate, but yes, he is an amazing man none-the-less. First year English in University we learned proper ways. :3
