[IU] Secretary General Summary of No PP Campaign Articles (Day 1851)
Addy Lawrence
Foreward...
In my previous article I committed to running an article today to report on the campaign progress of all the candidates for PP of India United. Enjoy the read.
On the marked lack of campaign articles for PP of India United...
Not a single campaign article has been released by any of the ten candidates for PP of India United. None. When I followed up within the party thread about this I received this response:
"Addy, in INDIA normally PP election no campaign, we mostly vote who is senior or most trustworthy thats the reason you are not seeing any PP election campaign."
Interesting.
Akshit Thakur of Forward Bloc has a PP campaign article. It's lulzy, however he makes a commitment to get at least five members into congress.
Militiadis1 of YUUVA India has a PP campaign article. He commits to getting 19 members of his party elected to congress as well as increasing activity on the party forum. He also promises to listen to the members.
It is odd that two of the top three parties have candidates who are campaigning in the media for support whereas the third does not despite a very public invitation to do so.
As Secretary General of India United I regret to inform the members that not a single PP candidate published an article seeking support for their PP candidacy.
On the irony of asking the politically ambitious to sit idle...
When my colleagues and I joined eIndia nearly two months ago, there was concern that some sort of political take-over was afoot. This was not the case. Regardless, one condition of our entry into eIndia was that we could not run for elected positions for a period of time while we focused on integrating into eIndia. We agreed as an act of good faith.
I find it very ironic that so many politically ambitious and talented and good intentioned citizens were asked to stay on the sidelines so that "this" could be preserved.
eIndia has issues and they aren't being addressed. It is apparent to me that India United will not be leading the resolution of these issues this term.
On the seniority and trustworthiness of citizens who have placed their in-game candidacy...
India United acknowledges the candidacy for Party President of the following citizens, in alphabetical order:
Akshay.IN, Level 27, born July 4, 2012
Asmitatheone, Level 41, born February 20, 2011
Chengis Khan, Level 27, born August 10, 2012
Dinesh Raju, Level 26, born October 8, 2012
games.k67, Level 20, born December 11, 2012
Nimshh, Level 21, born November 15, 2012
Rahul k, Level 30, born March 17, 2009
Samnorugh, Level 27, born May 2, 2012
ShockWavve (incumbant), Level 28, born July 26, 2012, said he was leaving the game
Based on the criteria of "senior, and most trustworthy" I have noted the e-birthdate and level of each of the candidates. As far as trustworthiness goes, I will let you be the judge of that.
Ironically, one of our candidates has already pointed out two other candidates as being untrustworthy and two more as too early to be trusted. I guess this all assumes that this candidate is trustworthy to begin with.
Denouement
eIndia has surprised me once again. The more I get involved with eIndia the more surprised I get. Good luck to all PP Candidates for India United.
Who's your daddy?
Addy's your daddy!!!

hmm...
lulzy 😛 (I am 14) obviously.it would be childish.........5 congressmen would be more than enough for me 😛 😃
vote+sub good job
send please : (
Our SG is even more active than any PP we had ever 🙂
Long before there was a party India United. I was a proud member and was working hard in Indian ATO program and propaganda called "Voice of India".
I`m also proud that there are still people that respect the job we have done in the past and decided to name the party after one old that saved India from extinction. Good job guys o/
Some of us whom have come to eIndia are very active and politically versed in congress and the "how to run a country" stuff......
I hope that when we decide to get involved, we're seen as active citizens........
In next term Addy is our PP
Good one Addy.
Yes I am a PP candidate and guilty of not campaigning enough.
Most of my frnds know that I suck at writing articles and most of the time its a wall of text.
"Ironically, one of our candidates has already pointed out two other candidates as being untrustworthy and two more as too early to be trusted. I guess this all assumes that this candidate is trustworthy to begin with."
Yes I am guilty of doing this as well. The ones I advised to avoid are know PTO-rs.
Addy, why dont we put up 3-4 issues that the party is corrently facing. Then let the candidates answer these questions and on that basis we can choose the PP candidate
@Addy, next month onwards you can take over 😃. One way what you heard is right. We vote for the known and trusted ones by their activeness in IRC. You see, being a small commune, we know most of them personally. Unlike eCanada or eUSA where ppl have to put their candidature in articles as they wudn't know others. It's like this: UAggs will vote you irrespective of you writing an article asking them to vote for you.
@ Asmita, what's the point of your Mae Culpa.
Addy ...most Senior person on the list is me... (my level is less coz i was away for 1 year)
Anywayz, addy u can read my PP article for IU when i used to write it in past...
but today Indians think differently... n i dont like it at all.
sorry for not writing any article.. i.ll promise abt next time...
(i was busy since 2 days)
@Bharmal;
I put the top five issues up in my previous article and asked each of the candidates to provide campaigns with these issues in mind. Nobody did it.
@Rahul;
The "most senior" person is relative. Does experience matter? What about congress and CP medals? What about government positions held? All of this should be debated.
😁😁😁^
20 or so votes to become party president. Maybe it is easier, more effective, more personal and more persuasive to have conversations elsewhere than the media module. 20 people after all. Even 30. A skype group. And I understand skype may be quite the thing. Still, as to matters of reform, change, and policy generally, a well thought out article is always welcome.
@addy ... i never became CP so no medal for that
i was congressman from India Unitef 16 times if u know
i was Minister of Defence of India in past, if u know
i wad PP of IU and other parties too...
as Vladimir said, we have fought with PTOers more than anyone here
sorry if i need to tell this everytime to u all
and if I m still a newbie to u guys, I am helpless.
