[FDP] Peace with EDEN.

Greetings citizens of the eUnited Kingdom!
I'm Mahmoud Ibn Abdullah, the new President of the the Free Democratic Party. Many of you already know me, and I'd like to get to know those of you who don't. Let me just say that I am honoured to succeed the great Arthur Wellesley as leader of this awesome Party. I've come to power during an interesting and trying time, but also during a time of great opportunity and I look forward to serving the members of the FDP and the people of the eUK in the weeks to come.
As you all know, the eUK has recently signed a pending cease fire with the EDEN nations surrounding it. As a result, tensions across the political spectrum have been inflamed, and most of us have been forced to step back and reevaluate our plans. For example, we in the FDP were hoping to bring out an "Arms for Americans" (a spoof of the eMericans' 'Bayonets for Britains' weapon drive), which we would have given out free Q1 weapons to those in need; however, since the cease fire this has become unnecessary and we'll be putting the weapons back in storage for a rainy day.
The purpose of this article is not to pass judgment on Dish and the government's actions, though we expect to release an article discussing the implications of this ceasefire within the next few days. We also condemn the reactionary impeachment of Dish by some on the Left. He has done a wonderful job on the whole, and though this event lowered many opinions of him, he is still a brilliant man who has saved us on many occasions.
So what does this mean? It means we must take a rational, calm and collected approach in this matter. We as a nation must again rally as a nation and not let this matter tear us apart bringing unnecessary turmoil and conflict to our beautiful Britain. But most of all, let us look to the future, what has passed has passed, and bickering will not forward this nation. Let us come together as a community,handle this calmly and democratically.
We at the FDP will continue to help out this glorious nation, by helping citizens, providing advice and guidance to those who need it, and we shall help most of all, by helping to put this powerful, enthusiastic, wonderful nation to progress and reach for the stars!

Also, I got the impression from your forum posts that you were against Dish's decision, so why not say so?

I love the FDP it's a great group of people and ideas
I've been shown all the possible ways the war could have turned out, and I've been grudgingly moved to support the decision. However, I still think it was announced in the most incompetent way imaginable, and I personally have lost confidence in our current government's ability to talk to our citizens and our allies and explain itself.
Oh, and thanks to whoever logged in and added the new pictures. 😃
So, you're against Dish and his decision, yet you are suporting him in the elections, no? and may I just say: It is wrong to say the 'left' tried to impeach Dish, seeing as we have a majority in congress and we didn't all vote that way, so...

Ahem. I said *some* on the Left. I was attempting to describe what what happening without naming names, but I suppose I have to now. I think we can all agree that johnobrow is Leftist?
As for the elections, wait and see... 😉
