[CP Elections] Alfagrem - Concession Speech

Day 1,447, 02:32 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Grampa Alfagrem

My fellow UKers, I thank you for your attention once more at the end of our short but intense campaign. The people have spoken and they have spoken clearly. A short time ago, I had the honour of speaking to President Temujin94 and congratulated him on his continued presidency of the nation that we all love.

With strong party support, a solid month of incumbency behind him and no serious opposition from the UKRP - he was all but sure of re-election but he did not lapse into self-assured complacency and we can be thankful and humbled that our president ran a serious campaign that did not sit on his laurels and recognised the mistakes made, the growing concern of the people and in a campaign devoid of vendettas and mudslinging - he looked forwards, to a brighter future for us all.

It is remarkable to think that only a few short days ago we had no campaign and it is a testament to the hard work of my colleagues in PCP and other helpers that we were able to break out of our party-base, past our previous best results of the year and recording the best third-party result of this generation.

I am so deeply indebted to you the voters for responding to our program with the great honour of your support and I am sure that the cause of reform within our great nation will not die with such great numbers willing to come forward and ask with one voice "Can we do better?"

That question will now be answered by Temujin94 and whilst it is natural today to feel a sense of disappointment that we fell short it is tomorrow we look to and I urge all UKers to continue to support the deserving president of this great nation and his endeavours to provide us with the fun, the opportunities and the freedoms that we all cherish.

For my part, I shall be returning back to the House of Commons and involving myself within the PCP organization where we shall continue to hold high the flag of socialism and equality with unwavering support for our nation and it's president.

Together we all can help write the next page in the history of our glorious island nation.
