We Shall Overcome

Day 1,110, 13:46 Published in USA USA by Samuel Seabury

"Truth is forever on the scaffold, wrong forever on the throne—yet that scaffold sways the future, and behind the dim unknown, stands God within the shadow keeping watch above His own."
- James Russell Lowell

"Such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing. The sun needs no inscription to distinguish him from darkness."
- Thomas Paine, "The Rights of Man"

"Oh, deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome some day"
- Chorus of the famous gospel song by Charles Tinsley

"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, 'If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' They answered Him, 'We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?' Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."
- John 8:31-36

I had pretty much sworn off writing campaign articles in the Church Times. Of course, that was before taking my vows of inactivity and leaving the Federalist Party altogether. The stain of corruption and degradation runs very deep in the eUSA. Resistance to change, any change, has manifested itself in a sickness and perversion that cannot be ignored. America's ruling class has grown so weak, so completely out of touch with reality that foreign opportunists have come in, looking for fertile grounds to aggrandize themselves. Political parties, once thought to be the mainstay of civil society, became nothing but playtoys for manipulation and conquest. Things have gotten so bad in the eUSA that it has even lost its scapegoats. Look in the mirror, what voters are left in eAmerica - you have no one left but yourselves to blame.

The Eight Imperatives of Inactivity are a refuge from all that - a way for citizens to make a statement that the intolerable will not be tolerated, that evil shall not have our consent, that wrongdoing will not be supported. In the past, it was possible to choose among the lesser of two evils. Are we then saying that our national apostasy has progressed to the point where it really does not matter ?

Well, this is what Sam Seabury has to say - if the shoe fits, wear it. But it is also my opinion that in the December presidential election, one candidate, or rather, one ticket - stands out as by far the least bad of all these choices. And so I'm going to vote for Josh Frost for President, and PiginZen for Vice President. These guys claim that they're going to save the eUSA, and having experienced that redemption in the past, I do think it right to point out that electing them will have the benefit of saving us all from those other candidates, whose election might further the revolution, but continue the months, if not years of oppression that has existed in the eUSA since time immemorial.

Who will be more likely to push for lower taxes ? For a real domestic economy as the admins introduce new resources and new industries ? For a more equitable distribution of benefits ? We in the SFP stand for all of these things, and more - but our numbers are few. This month, I encourage my comrades to show that we, too, support a broad national front on behalf of sound and experienced government, over against the freebooting imperialism we know would ensue if these other people were elected. Haven't we had enough of that ? I sure think so.

Yes, my friends - We SHALL OVERCOME. What we do today is just a start, a foretaste of the things to come. I just love that Lowell quote above - the truth is always on trial. As we come together to forge a coalition of thinking men and women, dedicated to the truth, not to the falsehoods of glory - we have the assurance that it is our cause which is just and our cause shall prevail in the end, as it must. We need not leave the field to the World, the Flesh and the Devil. Exercise your freedom tomorrow with a clear conscience, and a clear head. Vote Frost/PiZ.
