Join the new world

I hereby announce my run for congress in Quebec, again as a member of the Democratic Action League.

While my general objectives and ideals can be read up in this article, here be another summary of them:

Foreign Relations

Due to the Canadian people's kind and empathic nature as well as our country's non-aggressive and warm past and policies, I am convinced that especially in the light of PEACE GC crumbling and its most imperialist members having parted our nation could assume a central role in the reshaping of the international political structure, or at least warmly welcome other countries seeking new friendships especially if they do not want to immediately align with one of the alliances again. Our country has excelled at this in the past, as most recently our swift reconciliation with France, the Ranger's expedition to Malaysia, the new alliance with Italy and improving relations with the United Netherlands despite their wariness of Eden members after the happenings in Belgium.

Resolving the Conflict with the UK

To launch an aggressive war against the British would contrast to a policy akin to the one described above and even if their previous actions might make it deserve them it would severely stain Canada's image and reputation. Since I know that many of us nonetheless harbour understandably unfriendly feelings for the UK, I would suggest a controlled wargame which would be executed like an actual war but with the damage limited by an elaborate treaty ensuring that afterwards both countries will be fully restored, hopefully with our tensions having been blow away by then.

Economy

The Canadian Dollar has always been a very strong currency. While this is a good thing for the single worker as they can easily and quickly make a lot of gold, it hampers our economy since new businesses need to invest vast amounts of gold to afford the pay for their workers, which might lead to a decline of activity. As Canada is rich of natural resources, the government's priority should perhaps rather be to lower the CAD's value to a level where new companies may more easily be created, and at which point managers might desire to export their goods. If Canada were to become a major exporter of raw materials, it might also grant to us a more secure position in the eWorld, since other countries would be less eager to act in a way encouraging us to cease trading with them.

Personal Activites (rea😛 Boasting)

For the past 11 days I have been Canada's ambassador to Belgium, or rather the Belgian people, and I intend to continue this job for a long while, quickly reporting on major developments within Belgium or the UNL and doing my best to represent our country as well as I can. I admit that especially in the context of Romania's actions in Belgium I might sometimes be veering off into a manner of expression which might be just a slight bit too emotional, but thus far it has not done us any bad.
Aside from that, I will remain in the position of the Grand Master of the Military Order of Rhenus and as long as my funds allow for it will continue to support our army on battles abroad or to organise a platform for civilians to aid other countries in bitter peril.


Thus I would humbly ask for your voice in the next election. I vow that it shall not be used for the worse of this great nation!
