Time to say goodbye and where we are now!

Dear Germans,

I have been president for all in all 5 terms now...and only a few of you remember my first 3 terms. When I started to play eRepublik I dreamed of an eEU with Germany as leading part or at least as member. But then the war module started and we were attacked by Sweden (the 1.German-Swedish-War). Well, yes we lost a lot of regions but we became more organized and during the time our country got it's regions back - step by step till now. But right after the first German-Swedish-War I lost my dreams of an eEU...

But back to now: Looking back to my last terms I would say ok. We achieved a lot of great things and all regions back to Germany. Our economy is strong and our currency is doing fine, too. We are right now working on a neutral Germany that lives in peace with its neighbours. We have good relations with Czech (I have a NAP in my inbox from the Czech president and I will let the new president sign it that he can start with a good first act), with France, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland. We have some tensions with Sweden (they will need some time to realise that neither Denmark nor Schleswig-Hollstein belongs to them) and with Poland (they are very close with Sweden and I think during some time we can show them that we are not hostile to them). We are safe now because of a lot of MPP's with friendly nations from PEACE although we are neither member of PEACE nor applying for a membership in PEACE.

I have spent the last weeks to concentrate on economy and spoke with some GM's in eGermany. We have a very good economy the only thing we need are more worker! Our economy is an export orientated economy:

-> We exported goods 111.5g worth this month and are number 10 in export rankings.
-> We have imported goods 1.9g worth

Our GM's should try to create alliances and to put gold together to upgrade companies and by together export licenses. We don't need the 20th grain company because we can't run them effective because of our lack of worker. So please especially Grain GM's: Think about a grain cartel - more ideas will follow soon.

Next week I will start my doctor thesis (will work on it in the evenings after work - so less time for eRepublik) but remain as financial council of our new president. I will do my work, training and concentrate Bundesbank. Politics are in good hand with Isy and his government. I wish him a good time and will outline new goals to reach for Germany in the next month:

1. higher the population - there is the games convention online in Leipzig, Germany (maybe a good idea for eRepublic administration to get the game more popular in Germany: http://www.gamesconvention.com)
2. more transparent politics
3. remain peace for Germany as neutral part of Europe and as friend of its neighbours

At the end I would like to mention that I see the hope at the horizon to see my dreams come true. There is an organisation or at least an idea of a European Alliance that treats its member with the respect they deserve. The organisation might be ESA and there are good people like Squiddy going the right way which should be supported by future German presidents and governments. May they reach what I never achieved.

Thanks for all of your trust all the time...I hope I fulfilled the hopes and wishes of you during my periods as president and leader during the occupation. It was a pleasure to serve for Germany and all its citizens no matter where they are from IRL. We all had/have the same idea of a peace- and powerful Germany.
