Running for Congress in Georgia

Spinoza
Hi, my name is Spinoza, and I'm running for Congress from the great state of Georgia!
A bit about me... I as born a poor black child... no, wait, that's "The Jerk". I was born on Day 461, in the state of North Carolina. I quickly moved to Florida, and I've spent most of my life there, mainly fighting.
I served in what used to be the National Guard. I served as the commanding officer of 1st Platoon, 2nd Division of the NG, otherwise known as "Spinoza's Spartans". I helped train and educate hundreds of new recruits into the ways of warfare, and tried to also help as many as I could with basic game instructions and tips as well. I developed a nasty case of pneumonia at the beginning of the summer, and had to give up that very satisfying job.
I've been a member of the United Independents Party almost since birth. I supported our then Party President, Joshua Hoss, in the presidential election a couple back, and I still think Josh would have done a great job. However, I came to see how great Emerick did as president, and I joined my party in supporting him in the last elections. From all appearances, Gaius Julius is also doing a fantastic job. After a series of presidents that I think caused more harm than good, I've been pleased with our recent leadership in that area. I also served briefly in the UIP cabinet under Ansen, but honestly, this was when the pneumonia hit and I was nearly as effective at my job as I wanted to be.
I did take one previous stab at running for Congress, way back just after I was born. It wasn't really a serious run, more learning about game mechanics.
I own several companies through a couple of orgs, and I am a hard worker who hasn't missed a day of work in over 7 months. I also have two Battle Hero medals, both from this World War. With the exception of 10 Q1 weapons I was given long ago when I was in the NG, I have financed all my own fighting with my own gold, hard earned here in-game.
I'm currently a General who is closing in fast on Field Marshall.
I'm here every day, and I think I have a firm hold on game mechanics, strategy, and tactics. I'm on IRC (sometimes), and the eUS and party forums.
I've stuck it out here in my country for the duration, helping fight back the enemy even when we were down to just Florida. I never gave up on the eUS, and I won't give up on my duties and working for what's best for our country and my state of Georgia.
I'd appreciate your vote on Congressional election day - and I give my word to serve out *any* terms of office I may be elected to. Nothing burns my chaps more than people who win an election, and then decide that some other part of the game seems more fun, leaving their constituents to hold the bag.

What is your position on tanking vs. weapons distribution?
Do you support Q1 or Q5 weapon usage?
And can you tell me the strategy of chain reaction triggers?
Dishing out the hard questions johnpauljones. I like it. Considering im running for Georgia as well.
Thanks for the questions!
I know a lot of people, especially those newer in the game, *really* want more weapons distribution. I know it would be a popular, populist position to take. But my observations of how battles are won here tells me that priority must go to tanks - they have the numbers that will rack up wins.
As they are available, I have no problem with distributing *some* weapons to more experienced players who aren't yet "tank-able" - but only as available, and only after our tanks are equipped.
Q1 vs Q5 weapons usage: unless a citizen has a high strength and high rank, using higher quality weapons is a waste of money. Most people should be fighting with Q1 or Q2 weapons... they'll get a lot more bang for the buck, both individually and together.
Chain reaction triggers? I'm not sure of your terminology, but I assume you are referring to cascading activations of MPPs?
Again, thanks for the questions!
where do you stand on the issues?
i.e. taxes, the war etc. etc.
I think the main issue that differentiates me from the person I consider my main opponent in this race, Adam Griffin, is that I do *not* support the wide-spread building of Q5 hospitals. As has been pointed out my many others, multiple Q5 hospitals do nothing for our economy, and they don't advance a defense or fighting strategy that would serve eUS well.
We brought a lot of the war on ourselves with inept leadership at the very top a few months ago. Our leadership under Emerick and Gaius Julius has omproved vastly, and I was happy to join my part in endorsing and voting for Emerick in the last election. We almost lost it all. That said... we didn't. Lots of us stayed, fighting it out to the end, when we were down to just one state and the end seemed near. Good leadership, and the early strategy of fortress states are what laid the groundwork for our comeback - the fortitude and determination of the eUS populace is what mad it happen.
